- LJLauren JollyAug 26, 20265.0Wow! Talk about a hidden gem. My husband and I love finding authentic middle eastern food in Charleston which isn’t always the easiest! Sultan’s was just what we needed. We came after a walk with our dog and sat at one of the outside patio tables in the front. Ahmed went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. We got baba ghanoush for an appetizer and for our main entrees we both had the chicken shawarma sandwiches with hummus. Whatever they use to marinate the chicken was so juicy and tasty! Yum! And the breading on the sandwich was soft but had a little bit of a crunch to it. We ended our meal with the baklava and yum it was great. Lots of pistachio and a flaky crust and just the right amount of honey to make it sweet but not too sugary! If you’re debating on coming for a full meal or stopping in for a small bite, stop debating and just go because you will not be disappointed! Thank you Ahmed for the service tonight!
