  Had a great visit to Ritual for cocktails and an appetizer. The bartenders were attentive and made excellent espresso martinis. The views of downtown Charleston at sunset were amazing. However, we ordered the patatas bravas, which didn't have any sauce as expected, making them bland in flavor.

  My friends and I attended ritual for a bridal proposal party and I cannot thank Lauren (our kindest waitress) and the restaurant enough for such an amazing service! We enjoyed the food and drinks and had the time of our lives! Lauren was so sweet, prompt, and professional! She made an unforgettable day even more memorable! We can’t wait to come back and hopefully can request her! Thank you all again!

  Bartenders here are top notch. Just skip the host stand if you actually want good service. The hostesses are rude as can be. We came in today and were quoted a 15 minute wait time so we thought we’d go have a drink at the bar and then after 30 minutes of no one communicating with us at all we had to ask a hostess what was going on and she just shrugged and said oh well the wait times are not confirmed so you’ll just have to wait and if you eat you eat if you don’t, you don’t. Now it is two hours later and we still have not received a text to get in so I would not trust the wait times and I would not trust the hostesses who clearly just do whatever they want and are rude as can be. We also saw some tables sit empty the whole time we were there so it’s clear the hostess was on some type of power trip or more likely, didn’t like that I have a disability and had my service dog with me.

  Lauren R Was incredible to us, She was enthusiastic, pleasant helpful, helped us choose the best things on the menu this evening, food and drink wise. She made sure we were OK. Every step of the way I never ever had to wait for another drink. She was always on top of it. Her level of service and expertise was duly noted by all that sat here tonight. I hope that she is my server the next time that I come back to the establishment. -Lucy B.

  Man the atmosphere is outstanding and food was decent enough but the service is horrible. I shouldn't complain because I never paid the tab. But it wasnt due to a lack of effort thats for sure. The bartender ignored me and my wife like 3 times. The second was so disrespectful! I literally got in to an argument with her over the fact that I hadn't paid. She acted like I was stupid. She finally gave me a tab and it wasnt mine. I told her that I never started a tab and she said "everyone starts a tab. We take your card when you order. Thats how we do it here". I nicely said "no, ma'am no one ever took my card and I ordered from that guy right next to you". She asked my name and then handed me a tab. It wasnt mine. She asked me my name and got really snobby with me when I said yeah thats my first name but not my last name. Its not even the food I ordered. My tab should be over 100 and this is 50. She snatched it back from me and walked away. I tried to get her attention and she either ignored me or didnt hear me. That was when my wife finally said ..hun..they obviously dont want your money why are you trying so hard this is ridiculous. So we left! I couldnt believe i had tried so hard to give away my money to a place that didnt deserve it lol. Won't go back. The bar on the second floor was incredible tho. Highly recommend that.
