  Absolutely phenomenal food!! Mike, our server, recommended a magnificent Lebanese wine to accompany the unbelievable branzino. The grape leaves were so good we ordered another plate! They were the best we ever tasted! The chicken schwarma was delicious, but couldn't finish it because of all the grape leaves. Now, the Osmalieh we had for dessert was over the top!! Absolutely, the best dessert we ever had!! Leyla Lebanese is definitely our new go-to restaurant in Charleston!

  My friends and I popped into this fabulous restaurant not knowing what to expect since we’d never been before. Wow were we in for a treat! The menu isn’t enormous which means everything on it had to be great and indeed every item we ordered was outstanding! We started with hummus, baba ghannouj, and halloumi cheese. All were yummy and extremely fresh. Our entrees varied from Lebanese salad with very generous sized grilled shrimps atop to falafel to shrimp skewers. As was true of the appetizers, the food was cooked to perfection, with generous portions that meant carry out boxes were needed at the meal’s end! We intended to leave once the main course was finished but Mother Nature decided to open the skies and pour bucketfuls of water on Charleston, so our chef and restaurant co-owner Dolly suggested we stay and have dessert. She explained that everything was made from scratch, including the pistachio ice cream. Everyone except me opted for the traditional baklava but because I am still celebrating my birthday, Dolly convinced me to try something new, a delicious dessert called Osmanlieh. I’m so glad I did because it was outstandingly delicious and now I have a new dessert I can order the next time I eat Mediterranean! I should add that I’ve never particularly liked pistachio ice cream but this restaurant changed my mind about this lol! Dolly and the wait staff at Leyla’s Fine Lebanese Cuisine restaurant made my final birthday lunch with my friends an exceptional one, from the food to the service to the gift of bread pudding that we were sent home with. I highly recommend this restaurant to all visiting or all who are residents of Charleston SC!

  My husband and I came to Charleston SC for 4 nights to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. I googled and found Leyla's restaurant. We dined there twice:) Unfortunately they close Mondays and Tuesdays(: The food is 7stars. Ingredients are fresh, clean, taste is unforgettable and table setting is appealing to the eyes. Yes! All of your senses get to be nurtured :) You will miss a lot if you visit Charleston without having lunch and/or dinner @ Leyla's fine lebanese cuisine. I hadn't had kibbeh nayyeh for a while now as the meat has to be 👌from a well trusted butcher. Mrs Dolly, the owner, prepared herself the kibbeh nayyeh and tabbouleh (lebanese salad) and they are unforgettable:) It is a bit pricey but hey, the ingredients are prime and nothing is served from cans/packs to dishes. Everything is freshly made/cooked in their kitchen. Whenever you want to celebrate, do pamper yourself @Leyla's. (Even hummus, tabbouleh and French fries are an amazing lunch by itself) We enjoyed our meal and got to encounter and befriend an amazing lady who has an amazing story to be shared over lebanese ☕️ We're back home in Atlanta GA and can't stop talking about our experience @Leyla's The waitress @our 1st dinner and our waiter the following night were pros, attentive and pleasant. A huge THANK Y'ALL for making our anniversary and my husband's birthday a memorable one. P.S. they offered free champagne for our anniversary but we were already having arak:) they did not resign:) they offered us free dessert. Yummiest baklava with yummiest baklava ice-cream! Yes!

  Ok so we’ve eaten a LOT of Lebanese food over the years and Leyla might have just ruined the rest of it for us. Ordered the hummus and baba to start, mostly out of habit at this point, and both of us just kind of stopped talking. The hummus is so smooth, none of that grainy stuff, and the baba is properly smoky. Real char, not liquid smoke smoky. We finished the bread and asked for more, no shame. Fattoush was the surprise. I don’t usually get excited about a salad but this one was so bright and the pita pieces were still crunchy at the end, which never happens. Grills came out last and were somehow the best part. Juicy, charred in the right spots, seasoned well enough that you don’t need anything on top. Left way too full. Already trying to figure out when we can come back.

  We had such a wonderful experience at Leyla’s Lebanese Restaurant! My mom, sister, and I enjoyed an incredible meal, and it truly felt like being welcomed into family. As a Lebanese family, we can honestly say the cuisine is authentic, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You can taste the love and care in every dish. Everything is made fresh, and the flavors reminded us of home. A special thank you to our waiter, Mike, who was fantastic! He was attentive, friendly, and made sure our experience was exceptional from start to finish. It was also such a pleasure talking with the owner, Dolly. She is an absolute joy…so warm, welcoming, and passionate about sharing authentic Lebanese food and hospitality. Meeting her made our visit even more memorable. If you’re looking for genuine Lebanese cuisine, outstanding service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, Leyla’s is a must-visit. We can’t wait to come back!
