  Food Lion stores offers a wide range of products to meet shoppers need and items are easy to find. Check out is usually fast and the location off of Savannah Hwy has friendly customer services.

  I shopped here today 5/4/26. I was on aisle 9 sometime in between 8:35am and 9:00am looking for an item. There were 3 individuals on the aisle, 1 person was working to stock shelves while the other 2, who appeared to be a manager and a vendor were standing there talking. I approached the duo who were engaging in personal talk about outside of work activities. I stood there directly in front of the pair, one of who is a manager named Logan. I waited patiently to be acknowledged. Instead he continued the personal chatter with the vendor and ignored my presence. After standing there waiting to be acknowledged for about a minute Logan finally asked me if I needed anything. I told him yes that I was looking for a Burt’s Bees item, I showed him a picture of the item and explained to him that I was sure its location is near where we stood. He quickly looked at the photo of the item and told me he doesn’t know where it’s at and to ask her (pointing to the employee stocking the shelf, who was standing on a ladder or a step stool to reach the top shelf she was stocking). I nicely asked him if he was a manager and he replied yes he is, then continued to have the personal conversations with the woman who appeared to be a vendor. I asked the employee if she could help me find the item, and she gladly stepped down from the ladder or stepping stool and took me to the end cap of the aisle we were on (aisle 9) and gave me the item on the bottom shelf. The item was closer to where Logan, myself and the vendor were standing when I asked him for assistance. Logan’s refusal to acknowledge my presence and help me locate an item just a few feet away and telling me to ask someone else who was working on a ladder/step stool felt racially motivated. I felt as though he refused to help me because of my race and directed me to get help from an individual who is the same race as me. This behavior is unacceptable especially because he holds a higher position in the company and is familiar with the location of items. His lack of interest makes me want to stop shopping at food lion in the future. I was so troubled by his actions that I asked the cashier located at register 1 if the customer service phone number was listed on my receipt. She said it is listed and I explained to her why I needed it. She asked me if I would like to speak with another manager at the store. I replied yes and she called for the store manager to come to her register but another employee came out of the office area and told the cashier the manager she called for was on a conference call and to get another manager to come up. The cashier called another manager named Neiele, who I reported the incident with. Neiele was extremely apologetic for Logan’s actions and asked that I continue to shop at the store. I also called the 1800 customer service number to file a complaint and report Logan’s actions, however I am still very troubled by this incident and I am considering finding another company to do business with. I expect food lion to address this incident with Logan because if he isn’t reprimanded for his actions food lion will lose business not only from myself but from others as well.

  Affordable groceries and helpful staff. Some sections weren’t well-stocked, but overall a decent shopping experience.

  A delightful grocery store and more, the one by me has a coin machine, a must for getting rid of the unwanted coins.

  Prices are low, but so is inventory. Staff has always been kind. Store is not well maintained and comes across kind of unclean. It is convenient in a pinch but will never be my go to grocery store
