We booked this place after our original plans fell through. The staff was kind and attentive, but the overall experience did not meet our expectations. The restaurant was empty when we arrived for a 6PM reservation on a Sunday night. The table itself looked dirty as did the silverware. There were many black flies on the windows and flying at us as we ate. We did the 3-course menu. The food was average at best, my son ordered the filet and was raw in the center. They credited us only $25 for this mistake, even though my son chose not to not have them refire the dish (he sent it back to the kitchen and ate of my wife’s plate of fish). The desserts seemed store bought or obtained from a bakery. In retrospect, walking into a restaurant that was empty without any locals was a red flag.
We visited Eli's Table on 4th of July weekend. We were greeted warmly by the staff and were seated promptly for our 7:30 reservation. The young lady who was waiting on us (she was just married) was the epitome of "southern charm" with her kind smile and the many compliments she gave to our family. The meals were flavorful and came out piping hot. Don't miss out on the crab soup, crab cakes or the warm beignets (which my husband mistakingly thought would be "glorified donuts"... boy, was he wrong! Lol). We will be back!

Elis Table was one of the highlights of our trip to downtown Charleston! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of Charleston charm. The food was absolutely fantastic—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented.
The service was just as impressive. Genna was friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome throughout the meal.
The signature cocktails were outstanding and some of the best we’ve had in Charleston. They’re creative, perfectly balanced, and definitely worth trying.
If you’re looking for an amazing dining experience with incredible food, exceptional service, a great atmosphere, and delicious cocktails, Elis Table is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely incredible experience at Eli’s Table! The atmosphere is the perfect mix of upscale and welcoming, capturing that classic Downtown Charleston charm. We started with the fried green tomatoes, and they were phenomenal, but the shrimp and grits stole the show—easily some of the best in the city. The service from Ryan was attentive, friendly, and timed perfectly. If you want an authentic, delicious taste of the Lowcountry, this is a must-visit spot. We will definitely be back!

This place has a genuine hygeine issue in their kitchen. Found a hair and a something else in my food I couldn’t identify. Place seems nice but food is bad and owner was rude when I asked to speak to him about the food. I never complain at restaurants but wanted to let them know their kitchen sent my plate out like that. Really sad ,
