Found this place probably around 2012ish when I lived downtown. Years later i have not found a better pizza in the tri county area.

After a long day in the City, we chose this place because of it’s convenience to our room. The pizza was good, the wait time was not bad and the atmosphere was comfy. Nothing fancy but don’t think they’re trying to be fancy. You could tell they get a lot of locals from the neighborhood and the place had good casual vibes.

D'Alessandro's is our Friday night staple — plain pepperoni, every week, without fail. Something about that sauce just hits different (we've tried others, none compare). The quirky on-hold messages, the fun social posts, delivery drivers who know our order and our downtown spot — it's more than pizza, it's a tradition. Charleston changes fast; it's nice knowing D'All's stays consistently great.

Excellent pizza and the friendliest people making it and serving it. Very tasty sauce and the cheese has good pull and flavor. Then there's their crust: Chef's kiss! The crust is the best in the area, IMO. My pizza topping of choice is sausage and D'Allesandro's sausage is excellent. Sliced, not crumbles, as it should be for a NY style pie. This is my go-to pizza place now.
Conveniently located in Nexton Square in the same row of restaurants as Vicious Biscuit, Bad Daddy's Burgers and Wok N Roll.
Look, in this part of Summerville, I know a lot of people like Sangaree Pizza. I do, too. They make a good pie, but I think D'Al's is a cut above because of their crust. It's got better flavor and no flop. Cross Main St. and give it a try. I think you're in for a pleasant surprise.
