  Absolutely fabulous dinner. The chicken cordon bleu was probably the best dinner plate I’ve had in 2026 — truly masterful. And the chocolate mousse with the ice cream and cookie crumble was SO good. They have a new executive chef, and you can tell. Everything feels elevated. Our server, Alicia, was incredibly kind and lovely, too. Just an all-around wonderful experience and absolutely worth checking out. We’ll definitely be back!

  Very friendly and welcoming staff, a cozy, home-like atmosphere, and, most importantly, delicious and very well-prepared food. The steak was especially excellent — perfectly cooked and very tasty. We really enjoyed our experience and would be happy to come back!

  Lovely atmosphere, wonderful food, wine and service. I happily stumbled upon an enticing Restaurant Week menu with great value of three courses for $55. It was also Happy Hour at that time; I had the rillette appetizer in addition to the full meal, plus Champagne and Chablis. Professional, unobtrusive service and a pleasant view out the window looking south of Broad Street made an enjoyable dinner.

  Maybe we just caught them on a bad night. Escargot was overdone and tough. I have never had steak tartare prepared the way they do it. Certainly not a classic presentation.The steak and frittes was good. My wife had the duck ala orange. There were four of us, and the bill was over $500 with tip. Admittedly we had a couple of cocktails and s $79 bottle of wine. The server was a nice guy, but pretty clueless. I would not go back. BTW, something we ate made both my wife and me sick. We think it was the tartare. Our guests did not eat any and were OK. .

  If you are familiar with traditional French cuisine you will notice that the restaurant takes some creative liberties with it—especially the escargots—however, it does not entirely take away from the experience. After familiarizing ourselves with the wine menu it took about 20 minutes for our waitress to return to the table. We specifically said that our bread service was to be served first, once finished we would have liked the crudo, escargots, and other appetizers after. It was all brought out at the same time, and before the wine was even served. That was a glaring mistake. The NY strip was prepared as requested and the au poivre remarkable. The chicken cordon bleu was not actually a chicken cordon bleu. Perhaps another liberty taken with the food. The waitstaff continually bumped into my seat throughout our two hour stay at the restaurant, which became annoying. The addition of a “speakeasy” in the basement to have aperitifs before dinner was packed and loud. Nothing French-like to note about it, other than namely a few drinks on the menu. I would think the underground bar would want less of a party vibe, and have more traditional French music with an ambiance fitting it. Unfortunately Brasserie la Banque did not fit our profile for a social dinner.
