  My family and I are regulars, but on my last experience, I ordered 200 sandwiched for multiple departments at work. Everything was packaged for easy loading, which the staff was very helpful in getting into my car, on time, and provided a much needed morale boost for the team. This was our second catering event with Bessinger's. It's a team favorite and their crew displays genuine southern hospitality.

  Burger was ok. Pretty expensive. $20 for a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. The drinks are awful. The sweet tea tastes like it had gone bad and the Pepsi was flat. Dinning room smells old and damp. Bathroom was clean but still kinda off putting. The building is in dire need of a facelift. At $20 a person should be easy.

  Rude and very unwelcoming as we enter to tell us at 8:30 pm on a Saturday night that we are late to come in to eat. Then again the guy at the register did said simluar thing. I don't know as a tourist places but I won't go here to kill your vacation vibes.

  my favorite BBQ in Charleston, hands down! definitely a little pricy, but totally worth it in my opinion. their onion rings are sent from heaven itself and can say the same for their golden mustard BBQ sauce... I think I could drink it. I have been coming here for years without one bad experience. highly recommend!

  Stopped by Bessinger’s Barbecue and had a great experience. The Big Joe sandwich was outstanding—packed with flavor, piled high, and cooked just right and the best onion rings I’ve ever ate! The barbecue was tender, smoky, and exactly what you hope for when you’re craving authentic South Carolina BBQ. I also want to acknowledge Monica, She was friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent customer service from the moment we walked in. It’s always nice when great food is matched by great people. If you’re looking for delicious barbecue and a staff that makes you feel appreciated, Bessinger’s is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be back!
