- SGSteve Grafford3 days ago1.0Well first off there was nobody in the restaurant that should have been our first sign that something was wrong with this place. They weren't very friendly almost seemed like darn we have to wait on somebody. We decided to give it a try anyways and finally got sat down. Ordered a bunch of different things on the menu because there was five of us and everything that we finally ordered was brought buy a silly robot because the waitress couldn't even carry it to the table. All of our food was dry and flavorless. To make everything even worse, was that it was overpriced. So if you're ever in the area of Chapin South Carolina do not and I can stress do not eat here. The food made us sick to our stomachs.
- THTee HJun 19, 20265.0Today, was our first time visiting 518 just from browsing food options & I must say the Service, Atmosphere, & Food (Taste & Quantity) was beyond our expectations…. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, spacious, many TV’s to watch and music…. We learned on Friday & Saturday evenings there’s a live band so we will definitely come back for that…. Out back is a patio with different sizes of tables and high tables and cabanas with a Gorgeous view of the lake… there’s fans & heaters also for the season…. Our WONDERFUL server was Mikey he was sooooo patient & knowledgeable about the dishes because it’s sooooo many options to choose from… We originally sat out back but then moved inside. Mikey did an EXCEPTIONAL job servicing us…. It was just two of us and we had soooo much food! We told Mikey that we will definitely return and request him & we met the General Manager whom was very polite and friendly also, we informed him that Mikey is A Great Example of A Dedicated Employee that loves what he does…. We ordered pork belly burnt ends, full rack of ribs, collards, & loaded mashed potatoes, brisket, smoked chicken, cornbread muffins, and alcoholic drinks!! ALL 10-10 RECOMMEND!!! It was definitely a pleasure & this place is a Gem & one of the Finest places I been too!!!! I will DEFINITELY return! I been full for hourssssss!! - MBMarcus BowerJun 17, 20265.0Came into 518 Smokehouse today got some dinner. And man, did I just somehow pick the best day! I arrived and was sat relatively quick, which is to be expected for a week day. It was around 4:30 so there was barely anyone else in the restaurant. Connor was my server who gave me a rundown of the entire menu and gave me some of his personal favorites. I opted in on the Backyard Burger cooked medium. The burger arrived rather quick and it was cooked to a nice Medium/Medium Well. Candler, who was another server was working with Connor and both of them ensured I was set at all times. A grand example of teamwork. At the end, just as I thought I didn’t want dessert, Connor told me about the homemade Peanut Butter Pie that their General Manager Bob had made. I couldn’t resist… This may have been some of the best pie I have had in a very long time. The man himself, Bob came over and asked if I was alright and I just had to give him props. THIS MAN KNOWS HOW TO MAKE PIE! I ended up leaving, with an extra order of that Peanut Butter Pie aswell! I will return!
- HWHenry WoodJun 13, 20265.0Their employees were so nice that I would highly recommend not being rude. I wouldn’t recommend it as a nice place for a nice visit and dining location. And the food was so delicious that I highly recommend eating all their food and they got away, highly recommended I couldn’t eat it all in one bite in the jaws game arcade game was so cool and that golf game was so cool. I highly recommend checking these games out during your time and if you are asking, yes it’s OK to read our brain a word search. I highly recommend doing your time if you’re looking for somewhere to be quiet and I tested there couches and they were cozy and there was soft for people who wanna dine there in that area and the atmosphere was wonderful and that tree almost made me realize. I thought it was a real tree 🌳 and I highly recommend going there for your lunch dinner breakfast choice. If there was a breakfast choice on the menu they recommend going there 5 stars
- TTTosavealifeJun 11, 20265.0Been wanting to go here for a while now. We were able to sit outside, which was nice; however, there were a lot of children just wandering all over the place, which was not great. Having a time when the bar and patio are only for adults would be a great idea. There was a great vibe with the live music and the lights. The food sounded great; however, with my allergies, I was not able to eat a lot. I thought for sure I would be able to get a potato, but nothing on the menu for that. I did have the brisket; my piece was mostly fat, so that was not great. My dad got the brisket, and his was amazing. Our waiter was amazing and was super on top of it all, and we had 6 people at our table. Would go back for sure!
