But golly, it was a hot mess and the truth is the truth. 55 minutes waiting for our food and the waitress comes and says they are out of prime rib. So hubby orders a Tbone, flame grilled, no seasoning, medium. 3 people's food comes out but not his. Our food has been sitting under a heat lamp so long, that our pasta dishes are dry and crispy noodles, dried up chicken breasts. They attempt to make it right. Hubby's steak comes out, flat grilled, heavily seasoned and rare. He handed it directly back to her and asked for her to remove it from the bill. After a poor attitude from the lady manager, she removed the other 3 dishes. We drove 1 hour to meet friends to eat there for this disappointment. Drive the hour home and hubby ate a peanut butter sandwich near 9pm.

Therefore, we were very disappointed by our server. I thought he was pulling up a chair just to get our order but no he was sitting down to chat with us and said “I’m gonna take a seat and talk, yall are my only table and I’m bored”. This lasted for quite a long time. We thought that was it when he left, but no he decides to sit at our table with us, while we were on a date night, and talk to us while we were trying to eat our meal. He sat there the whole time. I have never experienced something so bizarre. I’m honestly in shock and can’t believe we paid our hard earned money for that. I have gone here every year for my birthday since I was a small child, but I don’t think I’ll ever be back after that.

It was very late, 20 minutes to closing so to be fair, that they were out of our choices I wouldn't hold against them. I will say this repeatedly, though it falls on deaf ears: My favorite thing at Outback is their Coconut shrimp. I just wish that they would simply drain the oil via an absorbant material like paper towels after removing it from cooking oil before placing it on a plate. It makes good fried foods EXCEPTIONAL because that extra step removes the greasy oil and leaves the fried food before it winds up all over your plate and in your stomach. Their salads need improvement as compared to any of their competitors. Since my ordered entree (Chicken quesadilla) was unavailable there was just my husband's which was entirely unedible. He complained to me but not to the server until I asked him, then tried his steak medallions. They were like rubber, difficult to chew and again, OIL from the fried onions all over the plate. It was horrible!!!
