As a regular customer, I was really disappointed by my visit yesterday around 5 p.m. I went in to use the restroom before going through the drive-thru to buy a sandwich, like I usually do. After I came out the darker skinned gentleman behind the counter followed me with an extremely unwelcoming glare as i walked by said counter, and when I didn’t stop, he said, ‘Hey, I’m the manager, and I said you can’t use the bathroom unless you buy something.’ Ironically I fully intended to buy through drive thru as i am an on call technician but the whole interaction was so uncomfortable i left without getting any food because i was worried he would spit in it with how he seemed to want to fight over my using the bathroom. I hope they reconsider how they treat customers so everyone feels like they’re at the Jimmy John’s in Town and Country, not a Waffle House in Ferguson. Initiating challenges and attempting to be hostile and aggressive towards your customers is really weird, and laughing with other employees when the customer gives you a confused look is very disrespectful. I think y'all should reassess the standards set for your managers, as you've lost a regular of five years over a bathroom break that came before an order.
edit: I went to fix a typo and it removed the response from jimmy johns saying it will be investigated. I hope it is investigated because if you watch the cameras you can see clearly where he verbally stops me to assert his bathroom authority right as i'm about to pass out of line of sight of the register. You see me turn my head and ask him what he's talking about, to which he repeats again that HE said no one can use the bathroom without buying something. I say that I was going to go through drive thru, he rolls his eyes and looks at someone in the lobby to laugh, and I keep walking as I again say how weird it is for him to be aggressive towards customers over the bathroom.
