One word. AUTHENTIC I haven't ever had home cooked German food this good before. Everything was fantastic. Everything is home made. And it shows.

We had the Bavarian platter. So much food!! We were sharing the platter and still were so full that we didn't have room for the Great looking desserts.

Waitress was very nice. There is way to many food options for any of them to be great. It is German style food so expect it to be different (sour Kraut and green beans in salad). The pork chops were very thin, shared, and over cooked.

The Hub German Restaurant is an interesting and quirky place. About a quarter of the menu's food offerings are German or Germany-ish foods. While the rest of the menu is composed of specials, many burgers of differing meats, sandwiches, fish, shrimp... spirits, beer and wine and a most impressive dessert selection. Are you a bit confused? Me too. Our group of six were mostly happy with their orders. The food arrived in a two by two sort of way. Some lack of method to get six main dishes to a table all at once. I would have thought a place with as much history as this one would have solved this by now. Oddly, the promised rolls arrived after 90% of our food had been consumed. They were,"in the oven" was the the explication for them not being served with the meal. This is yet another wrinkle you would think would have been solved by now. The atmosphere is much like your German uncle's basement with fairly loud music playing. Our food order was three different "German" dishes, one streak, and two burgers; one beef, one lamb. Two of the German dinners were generous in size, one was not. The lamb burger did not taste like lamb very much, I'm guessing it is beef/lamb mix, mostly beef, that I would have skipped ordering if I had known that fact. It's an interesting place that I'll never go back to. It looks like my 4 star rating will lift their number a bit. What more can I say.
