  I love Mositos. Cool people behind the counter who are always working for a 5 star rating and recommendation. The turkey ribs are my favorite 🤩

  If you're searching for excellent BBQ, this spot deserves your attention. The restaurant offers plenty of seating, a wide variety of menu options, and some of the most flavorful dishes I’ve had anywhere. When I review a BBQ establishment, I look for a few key things: Is it a stand‑alone business, or if not, is it the flagship location? Is the pitmaster on site regularly? Is the meat prepared on site, and can you see their smoker or wood stack? Are the sides made in‑house? Do they stop serving items once they sell out? Do they offer unique cuts or meats that aren’t commonly found? This restaurant met five out of my six criteria. They have been open for over a year, and it’s easy to understand why. The space is ADA‑friendly, able to accommodate large groups, and during my visit, I saw families, including young children, enjoying their meals. The pitmaster was present and happy to answer questions about the menu. The sides are clearly made in‑house; I ordered green beans, a dish I’ve tried at many BBQ restaurants, and these were easily the best I’ve ever had. I even considered ordering extra to take home, and asking for the recipe. A hallmark of a great BBQ place is that the food is ready when it’s ready, and once it’s gone, it’s gone. By the time I arrived, several items had already sold out, which to me signals quality and care. They know their process, they respect the time it takes, and they don’t rush or cut corners. Finally, they offered at least one item I wasn’t familiar with. When I asked about it, they were happy to share. The BBQ restaurant I frequented before moving often had specials like bison or oxtail, and discovering something new here felt like that same kind of treat. While I didn’t see an outdoor smoker or wood pile, I did see food being prepared on site in real time and I 100% recommend going. I went alone but felt like I was having food with family. The restaurant is clean, with friendly and fast the service while the food is amazing. A bad day with bbq is better than a good day without it but you will not have a bad day if you're having bbq here. Period.

  Food highlight of my visit to St. Louis. Immediately welcomed and shown in by who I think was the pitmaster, off of whose recommendations I ordered the turkey ribs and collard greens. Let's just say I want to come back for a second trip just to intern in their kitchen. Very thoughtful, conversational staff behind the counter. Made me feel at home (while stuffing my face). Highly recommend.

  We walked all over St Louis for hours looking for "Pork Steak" because we heard it is a St Louis specialty. This was the only place we found that still serves it and it was so good! It is a one inch thick smoked bone-in pork steak (I got sauce on the side so that I could try the flavor of the marinade and smoke separately from the sauce, but there's an option for sauce on.) Very few people here, but the service was friendly. My husband loved his beef brisket sandwich and after wolfing it down, took one bite of my pork steak and proceeded to steal over half of it. We were really impressed and don't understand why this place isn't packed!
