  We were disappointed with our visit, mostly due to the service and the food. Our server disappeared throughout our time there, and Max stepped in to refill our waters, clear our plates, and bring our check, all while handling his own tables. He was attentive and friendly despite not being our server, and he deserves credit. Unfortunately, we believe our server's absence is why our food came out late and lukewarm. A couple who was seated well after us, with a different server, received their food almost immediately after ours did. The steak and eggs looked very different from the menu photo (comparison attached). The steak portion was small enough to be hidden under the eggs, the chimichurri shown in the photo was missing, and the dish was quite salty. The chilaquiles had soggy chips and very little green sauce. Pricing was also a concern. The steak and eggs is listed at $19 online, but we were charged $23 for a smaller portion than pictured. We also ordered a side of pancakes, described as coming with butter and powdered sugar. When we asked for syrup after they arrived, we were told it would be a $1 condiment charge, which felt unexpected for pancakes. Updating the online menu prices and photos to match what's served, and letting guests know about add-on charges like syrup up front, would go a long way. As it stands, we likely won't be back.

  Delicious food. Poor service. The wait staff was polite but just would not follow through on bringing what they offered or whag we asked for. Idk of they were understaffed or what. Not pleasant.

  This is the most underrated restaurant in St. Louis. The charm and unique menu makes it feel like you’re eating at Disney, without the crowd and stress. They have a “family style” dinner every Monday evening where the chef prepares food for everyone at the table to share, sit with strangers and suddenly the conversation leads you to learn about your neighbors! This style of eating is really magical.

  This was probably the best food I’ve had in years, everything was spiced so phenomenally well, everyone should try their steak and eggs it was insanely delish.

  PROS: - Delicious, flavorful, refined, complex, and very well thought-out food. (You can tell whoever made the menu and the food really put some serious time and effort into it.) - Drinks are interesting and pretty good. CONS: - The space itself is kind of small and can go from pretty quiet to pretty noisy. - The outdoor space is composed of uncomfy wooden bistro sets, occasionally a bit too close to the musicians outside. - Service is pretty good and friendly, but was kind of slow, especially initially and considering that the crowd didn’t come in until the latter half of our time there. It’s also awkward to walk-in to no host stand or any designated spot to wait… - For the money, it’s pretty good quality, but not totally filling on a single entree and a side for one. - It’s an atypical brunch spot, so don’t expect the normal breakfast/brunch things. OVERALL: I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes, but not on a totally empty stomach, unless I want to splurge!
