It's like you're a chef and you made breakfast at your house.
The food and even the kitchen they're making it in make you feel like you're at someone's home making you breakfast. A lot of thought went into making the menu. The food is whole and hearty.
The staff was very hospitable. I even met the owner and they were very down to earth. It felt like a great energy in there and the food was top notch.
I got the Cocotte. First time ever having it and I was hooked. Very earthy and French tasting. Toast is typically just toast but the toast here was oddly perfect. I didn't even know I could love toast like I did there's.
The art on the walls was eh. It didn't convey emotion or feel special considering how unique this place really is.
Regardless it's a total gem and you'd be stupid for not going.

My husband made reservations for Milque Toast for Mother’s Day 2026. He told me about it, we all looked over the menu and picked things we thought we might like. No where at any time or anywhere on socials, etc. were we notified that it would be a prefixe menu.
We showed up that morning, it had just been drizzling a little bit but had stopped. We put in our name and asked to be seated inside as I am always cold. Despite there being three empty tables inside that just needed to be cleaned, we were told they were completely full and would need to sit outside. We had reservations… and no where on the reservation did it specify inside or outside, so we were confused by this. Nevertheless, we complied.
We were sat at rickety patio tables on the sidewalk right next to the road. The wood on the tables was warped and we had to be very careful with where we sat our glasses.
After a while of sitting, a server brought out the sheet with the items that would be served with their “special Mother’s Day menu”. We looked it over and although it did not sound as good as what we would have ordered individually, we thought it would be ok. No prices were listed anywhere. Not on the menu, not on the socials,
Not anywhere on the reservations. Honestly, we should have left at this point, but I didn’t want to make my husband feel bad for the place he picked for Mother’s Day. I KNEW my picky son was not going to eat anything on the menu, so we did order the optional $10 pancakes. (Thank goodness, as this was what we all ended up eating…)
So, the food came out on a big tray. It was a big scoop of cold egg salad, 3 roasted whole potatoes, some chicken sausage, a scoop of overnight oats, a bowl of mushrooms, some asparagus, a salmon wrap thing, some fruit, some crostini, and a hot egg dish. My favorite thing was the crostini and hot egg dish. HOWEVER, the eggs were completely raw. Like, clear and gloopy raw. 🤢 When I was finally able to flag a server down to have them take it back to fully cook it, they told us that we needed to stir it when it first arrived and that fully cooks the rest of the dish. Um - that was never mentioned. And it was cold at that point, so, they needed to take it back and refire it.
And then the bill came - this experience was $40 PeR PERSON.😩 For the four of us plus drinks and tip, it was over $200. We don’t pay that for a buffet experience where there is a ton of stuff we like. The sticker shock for a sub par experience for Mother’s Day was such a bummer. We drove through McDonald’s on the way home. 😔
If we had been able to order what we had initially planned, this might have been a different review. Communication about the pre fixe menu and price were non existent. Had we known, we wouldn’t have gone there for Mother’s Day. So disappointing.
