  Five Ace’s Smokestaq was amazing! We are in town for VEX Robotics World Championship and wanted to have some local BBQ and they delivered an awesome experience. Was happy to support a local family owned restaurant, but you could not find a nicer family to serve you some excellent food. Staff were very friendly and easy to talk to, gave great suggestions on dinner. Our whole team was raving about all their sides and the delicious smoked meats. The sauce had excellent balance of sweet and tangy to the point of getting every last drop of the tray. Sweet potatoes, fantastic. Collard greens had a kind of smoked flavor that was delicious. The fried pie…I would have been mad at myself if I had denied the suggestion from the hostess. It was one of the best desserts I have ever had! Everything was great to the point I wanted to be invited for Christmas, but I have a feeling they are already serving us food like family. Thank you!

  Great food, great customer service and very welcoming. Antonio is an amazing host. If you’re ever in St. Louis and looking for some great bbq you have to stop in. We were here for the world Vex Robotics championship and stopped in with our team for dinner. Nothing short of feeling like a part of the family. I will definitely make a stop next time I’m in St. Louis or driving through!

  Thank you, Antonio and staff, for a delicious experience at your restaurant! I will definitely be back for more yummy brisket and soak in the lovely river view on your patio. Another bonus is that you and your dtaff are welcoming and attentive... keep up the great work and see ya next time I'm in town!

  First time in STL. Visiting from Tennessee. Hands down, best bbq I've ever had. We got the burger and BBQ pork sandwich. Great portions. I have absolutely zero complaints. The staff was kind, engaging, and attentive. I was full but not that "heavy, sluggish" full, you can tell this food is made fresh fresh and from the heart. It was so good that we have to go back before going home.
