- TTTeresa Turner2 days ago3.0My family (party of 10) visited 10/11 after church. Overall, the food was good. A couple of items came out cold. The calamari was AWFUL. Poorly breaded and overcooked. Gummy and impossible to chew. We ordered and paid for two of them. We should not have. I wish we hadn't. Carmen, our server, did a GREAT job considering our large party. The manager (I believe, considering her attire), Lynette, left much to be desired. My aunt wanted an item she had gotten several times in the past, but was not on the current menu, and Lynette couldn't be bothered. She was dismissive and left Carmen to fend for herself, not caring to resolve the issue. She was flippant and rude. The entire floor was super sticky, especially the bathroom. The pork chops were delicious. The bread was rock hard, deeming it hardly edible. The chicken limone was tough as leather to cut. It should come with a steak knife like the pork chops. All meat entrees should, honestly. Given the price point, (your restaurant is VERY expensive to be in Missouri) please do something about the calamari and chicken limone dishes. Give Carmen our thanks. Provide Lynette with leadership training and customer service training.

She was attentive and ensured that our orders were correct and also delivered correctly. Second - the food was good. I am celiac and my concern is that they offer gluten free noodles, however they are cooked in the same water as regular noodles. This is deceiving when you offer gluten free noodles. Brooke did work with the kitchen and they said that they would do it upon our request. That is not normally done unless specifically requested (concerning). Other than that, the food was pretty good. The atmosphere was nice because it was a slightly chilly night, but they have heaters that keep you comfortable. The music was not too loud and we could sing along as well as still have a conversation. All in all, it was a nice anniversary dinner. But Brooke definitely made it for us to ensure I would not get sick!

Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner turned into a very disappointing experience. The food was terrible, the meat was tough, our server forgot several things, and the service was extremely slow. Considering the prices, the quality of both the food and service was simply not acceptable. What makes it even more disappointing is that this used to be such a wonderful restaurant. It is truly sad to see what was once one of our favorite places lose the quality and standards that made it special. I sincerely hope the owners take notice and bring back the restaurant we once knew and enjoyed. Sadly, this was not the birthday dinner we had hoped for.
