  I'm sure it was just an anomaly but my food was so salty. I think the cook may have accidentally knocked the lid off of the seasoning canister. I got the seared tuna which was a small portion for the price but I saw somebody got this giant chicken sandwich. That looked awesome and if I were in town longer I would go back and try it again

  I have heard too many good things about this place and FINALLY took the plunge and holy moly I am so glad I did! Everything was so incredibly tasty. Fresh, flavorful and delicious! We got the onion appetizer. Civil Burger and their chicken tenders. All so amazing and highly recommend! Will have to come back to try more things even dessert! Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean and well maintained. Will definitely be coming back!

  Hello, welcome to a humble 3 star review. Seldom given out by us reviewers. Here’s the deal, the service and drinks were excellent—truly the highlight of the meal. The food on the other hand was just so unbelievably bland. I’m worried the chef has halophobia (the fear of salt). Additionally portion sizes were inconsistent. The onion rings, which were good, (but needed salt) were MASSIVE compared to the whipped feta dip served in a ramekin so small you could put it in a dollhouse and lose it. I was splurging for my mother on Mother’s Day weekend, and truly would not have been shocked by the prices if the food had matched the value I was paying. I always want local businesses to succeed, and I think there is some room for growth in the kitchen.

  We have been to Civil a couple times now. The first was ok, but the second time was much better. It was a busy night and we could tell the staff was under pressure with an event happening downtown. They took great care of us and made it a special night. As for the food, it was excellent. Do not pass up the seafood beignets. They are like a crab rangoon and a hush puppy had a baby. 👍🏻

  I’ve been here a ton and honestly it was a 5 star but yesterday I went with my family who was visiting and super excited to show them civil kitchen. We get the wings and they’re dry as all hell, then we get the chicken sandwiches and chicken and waffles brother all the chicken was as DRY As sand this was one of the worst food I’ve ever eaten. I’d much rather get a spicy mcchicken. I spoke with a manager she said “oh I’ll let em know to turn the heat down. I’m telling you guys it was like eating sand also the fries we received were stone cold. We ate since we were hungry but I had to leave a review
