  Ive been going to Caspers since I was a kid. My grandmother worked as a waitress in the 40s. Im sure a lot has changed since the 40s, but the chili isn't the same as it was with the other owners. It had a lot more flavor and it was full of meat. A whole lot more meat. It seems to have some kind of fillers in it. Its just makes me miss the original chili.

  $13 hot dogs are the smallest. Go to sonic. Fries are disgusting, leftover dried and 2" fries. Cheeseburgers are the worse. A couple of hairs in the onion rings. Lay back unsatirory kitchen staff I guess. I spent $37 for two. I gave the cashier $5 because I felt sorry. That place is going out of business soon. The decor is stupid btw. You can't even look out the windows with all that crap. Smh.

  I ask about all the local gems when im in a new area. My coworker suggested caspers and it did not disappoint! Some of the best chili I've ever had. The building was very unique and the decor was really cool. I ate the "big weener" combo and a delicious burger. I would highly recommend this place to anyone driving through springfield.

  Marcie was our server, she was great! We ordered 2 double cheeseburgers-so yummy with the fried pickles and ham n beans. Super quick, hot and delicious. Home made corn bread was amazing! We will be back for sure!

  I have been enjoying this quirky little diner (different location) since college in the late 80s! The food and staff are amazing. Try the frito pie or a chili with cheese. The fries and chicken strips are delicious, too.
