This is a very INTERESTING Store.... Like I have not seen anywhere else !
A Combination 50% grocery Store... plus 30% museum collection...
then 10% hardware store, and 10% Liquor store/smoke shop.
Go shopping when you have an extra 45 minutes to "Look Around" ...
( it's worth the trip )
The collection of Statues & near museum pieces is what really makes this place stand out... You will be looking through the frozen food section, and then notice a Nine Foot, 800 pound, brass statue of a Rodeo Rider... Over by the Liquor department, you have 100 year old sailing and navigation instruments, and 10 bicycles mounted above the bottles.
Have you ever seen a bright RED Zebra? How about a 6ft stature of the Greek god Bacchus? (with a cooking apron on) A collection of Glass Eyes looking back out of the display case... Three Hundred Bells: From little glass ringers, to big Chinese Gong, and a 200lb+ replica of the US Liberty Bell...
Somebody who ran/owned this store evidently spent 30 years just "collecting" whatever caught their eye... and brought it home to KC/Riverside to share with all their customers.
Oh... after all that sight-seeing... Don't forget to buy the bread & milk.
