We had dinner here last Sunday night for date night and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The 14-ounce prime rib was delicious and well worth the $50 price. The mushrooms were also excellent, and the salads were enormous with a tasty house vinaigrette—we couldn’t even finish them! The goat cheese and chive smashed Yukon potatoes were a little dry, so next time we’ll probably try the asparagus instead. Our food arrived at a good pace, although our waitress wasn’t particularly friendly—perhaps she was just having an off night. Overall, it was a very good dinner, and I’d give Gram & Dun 4.5 out of 5 stars.

2nd time eating here, first was for dinner a few weeks ago and today was for breakfast. Food quality was mediocre both times. Dinner service was extremely slow. Breakfast service at the bar was ok. Argosy made a poor choice forcing everyone here for breakfast and lunch. Would much rather eat at the Sportsbook, terrible decision to not have it open until 4 pm. Cost is too much for the quality of food.

I was very disappointed in my overall experience at this high-end, expensive restaurant. We had a reservation on a Friday night (8/21/2026) and were seated right away. We were in a private area of the restaurant, which seemed nice at first. However, as the tables filled, it was so loud that we could barely hear each other speak. We were greeted farely quickly by our waitress and our drinks arrived in a timely manner. From the time we ordered our food to the time it was placed on our table was over an hour!!! During this time our waitress only checked on us once (and hour after ordering) to tell us our food was "in the window and they were working on it". It was another 20 minutes before our meal arrived. When the food was delivered, each of our meals were not as we ordered and it was luke warm. Our steaks were overcooked (filet mignon & sirloin), we were served side dishes that weren't ordered, the sides we did order were missing, brussle sprouts were burned. I had to ask for the salad I had ordered (without cheese, dressing on the side - I did remind our waitress of this) and it arrived slathered in salad dressing and over salted. I just sent it back. Our waitress was very well-aware of our disappointment and unhappiness. When our bill arrived (over $200 for 4 people) she said "I know things weren't perfect, but I hope the concert was good (we didn't even attend a concert!) and I gave you 10% off for the mess up. This was absolutely unacceptable. We will NEVER return to this restaurant and I DO NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to receive good service and excellent food for the prices paid ($58 for the filet mignon). Highly disappointed in ALL aspects!!!

Four of us dined at Gram & Dun Argosy on Friday at 5:30 with a reservation. Over an hour to get our food and NONE of our orders were correct and food was luke warm. The food was subpar and wrong so we only ate a portion of our dinner. Expectations of a higher end restaurant with the cost was extremely disappointing ruining our entire experience. Will not go back.

I'm a little bit confused by the great reviews because the experience me and my guests had for dinner, on a Tuesday night, was horrible. 3 people, 200 dollar meal, and all three of us have been going out together for years and years and by far this was the worst. We got there at 6 PM...no reservation, but it was a Tuesday evening. They said 20 minute wait, and that is NO PROBLEM. So we went to the bar, and tried to order a drink...that took 10 minutes...there were only 2 other couples trying to order, but there were a few people seated at the bar drinking. After a 10 minute wait and trying to flag down the bartender we ordered our drinks. It turns out our wait time was more than 30 minutes but that's ok, we were at the bar waiting for our drinks. At about 6:33 PM we were told we could go to our table, but STILL not drinks, after 20 minutes. Nothing fancy...2 moscow mules and a cosmo. They said "don't worry your drinks will be brought to the table, even though we paid for the drinks and left a good tip. We were seated, and NO ONE came by to offer water. 10 minutes later the bartender brough the 2 moscow mules and said "I'll be right back with the cosmo"....In the mean time a young waiter, probably no more than 25 came by to give menus and ask for drinks. We said "we got 2 of them, but we're waiting on the cosmo"...he was sweet, and went to the bar, but the bartender didn't look happy...he came back and said "soon". Then disappeared for another 20 minutes. Finally the bartender brought the cosmo... We are old...we go out together to various nice restaurants, we KNOW what a good cosmo is. This was water and a splash of cranberry juice. It was the worst I have ever had...Applebees has better...but we didn't complain. Then finally the waiter, who seemed overwhelmed came by and took our order. We tried the Australian wagyu filet...I think it was 62 or 68 dollars...and the sides were separate.... And again, another 30 or 40 minutes the meal came...and it was horrible. A giant plate with a steak on it...ok..but no garnish...? the sides in a different plate, but have never seen a giant plate with absolutely no garnish. Ok...the tricky part was cutting the steak. This wasn't wagyu..I'm sorry...I don't know what kind of game they were playing but this wasn't even filet. We had to use our steak knives like saws to cut through the gristle. My first thought was: this is a casino...is the mob scamming Gram and Dun and billing for filets and substituting chuck? We had ordered Medium and it was WELL DONE...a hockey puck dark brown through and through....Gordon Ramsey would have thrown it across the room. Finally I said "you know, you might want to tell your cook that this was well done and we ordered medium...poor kid just looked embarrassed but walked away. We declined desert..by now we're nearly 2 hours into the evening and it was terrible. We should have driven home and grilled a steak from Price Chopper. I sent an email to Gram and Dun...didn't ask for anything...didn't want a coupon, just wanted to alert them that it appears they are under staffing and not vetting their staff at this restaurant, and asked them to maybe send someone undercover and see what is going on. DID NOT EVEN RECEIVE an acknowlegement. So, I'm guessing, this place won't last. But still, when my guests come in again, I will NEVER take them to either the Plaza location or this one. Horrible experience. How are there good reviews of this place?
