I ordered a slim and got a shredded iceberg lettuce sandwich. Almost no meat or cheese. They obviously cant afford to make actual sandwiches anymore. Wont ever go there again. Take down the free smells sign bc no one wants to smell salad sandwiches. Gross. I find it interesting all the promises I see to fix things, yet I experienced the same thing most of the others did 2 days ago. Nothing gets done. He just says sorry.

The guy taking orders didn't say hello or even ask what we'd like to order. Just stands and stares. Got both sandwiches wrong. They put a tuna like substance on my sandwich that was supposed to be a chicken bacon ranch. I had go back to ask for the toppings I had already told them at the register. Total space cadet, get it together.

This is the worst jimmy John’s I have ever experienced . I don’t know why I keep coming back, every time I order, I place a pick up order. I get there 15 or more minutes after I placed my order, and it’s never ready on time. Well today they literally forgot to put meat on my sandwich. I was given a sandwich with lettuce , tomatoe and peppers, I can’t even make this up. Whatever you do, save yourself the disappointment, go out of your way to go to another jimmy John’s if you can. They have some of the most incompetent, lazy workers I have ever seen in my entire life working here.

This is the joke of a sandwich I got from Jimmy John's this afternoon. For perspective, I put a picture of what it should look like with a normal sandwich. That's right, the bread should cover the top of the sandwich. And, no, I didn't do any tricks to make it look that way. The exposed veggies and meat is the actual filling of the sandwich. If my sandwich was made properly, the bread would cover all that. The "bread" (if you dare call it that) on top is how small it was compared to what it should be. They claim they toasted it too long so the bread shrank. That's more shrinkage than George Costanza could ever fear! I realize mistakes happen. But they don't have a timer on their toaster ovens? And if they do leave them in there a bit longer and the bread burns and shrinks like this, they don't think how ridiculous it is that they would serve that up to a paying customer? Somebody wrapped that up and decided it was good to go out the door. Let that sink in. Somebody looked at that as they pulled it out of the toaster oven and thought, This is fine. I got home and was astonished at how poorly it turned out. It was a new level of incompetence I have never seen in all my days of getting food from anywhere. To their credit, they did offer to remake it, but I had to get to work, I could't afford time to drive back up there. So I suffered eating a burnt log of "bread" half the size it normally is. It literally hurt my gums to bite into it, it was so hard and crispy. I hate to be that customer that has had a lot of good experiences at this store, but honestly, this isn't the only bad one. It's just making it to the reviews. Time to face facts- Jimmy John's is mid quality fast casual food. As far as sub sandwhich shops go, it's not the worst, but far from the best. If anything else came to Raytown, other than Subway (who goes there anymore anyway?) Jimmy John's wouldn't be much of a consideration. The positives is location, location, location, and convenience. But now that's ruined becuase of this mess of a so-called sandwich. It's abhorrent they hired somebody incompetent enough to think this was acceptable. $10-$11 to serve this joke of a "sandwich." The employee who made this should be forced to pay for my next meal out of pocket, but I know that's not going to happen. This is just sad, seriously sad. Whoever made this, and thought it was suitable to serve, should be fired. UPDATE TO REVIEW- I am changing the rating from a one star to three stars. The experience here still isn't the best. I could get into a longer review about poor experiences on the weekend. The main reason I am changing it is a district manager confirmed that they used the bread for a "Little John" for my regular sized sandwhich. Whether this was a mistake or deliberate, I do not know. But I stand firm- there is no way that somebody taking that out of the toaster oven should have thought it was suitable to go out the door. But at least I am assured it was a mistake, and the bread really didn't shrink that much from being toasted. My advice- go during the days when the full time manager/people are there. They rarely mess things up. Be alert, and very leery, if you see a new person working there. Expect to double check your order before you drive away. Apparently training new people is hard. (And yes, there was a new person working the drive though that day- somebody I had never seen before. I don't know if this sandwhich was his fault, but it probably was.)
