    I reached out to Dutch Bros privately regarding this experience and never received a response, so I’m sharing it here. During my recent drive-thru visit, I watched multiple employees interact with the dog in the car ahead of me. The dog was allowed to lick the employees, and one employee even got into the customer’s vehicle for several minutes to spend time with the dog. While I appreciate friendly customer service and understand that many people love dogs, what happened next was concerning. Within a very short amount of time, those same employees returned to preparing and handing out drinks. I did not observe any handwashing or sanitizing before they resumed handling beverages. As a customer, this raised serious concerns about hygiene and food safety. I even emailed Dutch Bros directly and included photos from my visit, hoping they would address the situation internally. Unfortunately, I never received a response. This isn’t about employees being kind to animals—it’s about maintaining proper food safety practices. Customers should be able to trust that the people preparing and serving their drinks are following appropriate sanitation procedures, especially after interacting with animals. I hope Dutch Bros takes this feedback seriously and reinforces proper hygiene expectations while continuing to provide the friendly service they’re known for.

    Never order ahead. You could order it 20 mins in advance and it’s never ready when you get there even when there is no one in line. What is the point of ordering ahead?
