This is the go to location for Sonic. It's hard to find such a clean, well run establishment.

Sonic Drive-In — Raymore, Missouri Food & Customer Service Critic Review: ★☆☆☆☆ This visit to Sonic in Raymore was a disappointing example of how an otherwise simple fast-food order can become a frustrating customer-service experience. The order consisted of a drink, onion rings, and peppermints. The interaction immediately started on the wrong foot, with the employee repeatedly struggling to hear the customer and asking them to speak up. While communication issues can happen at a drive-in, the tone of the interaction became noticeably less welcoming once the order was finally understood by Shaelyn. The first service issue came when the order was delivered without the requested peppermints or ketchup. The customer had to contact the restaurant again to request items that should have been included with the original order. The more significant issue involved the drink. After tasting it and determining that it did not taste as expected, the customer requested that it be corrected. Rather than immediately resolving the issue, the employee stated that a manager would have to authorize or prepare the replacement because the drink could not simply be remade “for free.” From a customer-service perspective, this is where the experience became particularly problematic. The customer was not requesting a complimentary second drink; they were requesting a correction to a beverage they had just purchased. The explanation that followed raised an additional food-service concern: the location had apparently run out of lemon syrup and was substituting lemonade instead. Substituting ingredients without clearly informing the customer beforehand is poor communication. Even when the substitute seems similar, the ingredients and flavor profile may be different, and customers should have the opportunity to approve or decline the substitution. Eventually, rather than continuing to troubleshoot the original beverage, the customer requested a cherry limeade slush. The interaction remained noticeably tense, with the employee appearing frustrated by the repeated requests to correct the order. Food Critic’s Assessment The onion rings were not the primary issue with this visit. The bigger problem was consistency and communication. A beverage that does not taste as ordered should be corrected without making the customer feel as though they are requesting something unreasonable. Customer Service Assessment This location fell short considerably. Missing condiments and requested items, inadequate communication about an ingredient substitution, and an unnecessarily difficult process for correcting a newly purchased drink collectively created an experience that felt much more complicated than it needed to be. A strong fast-food establishment understands that mistakes are inevitable. The real test is how efficiently and respectfully those mistakes are resolved. In this case, the resolution process was the weakest part of the visit. Final Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ — 1/5 For a restaurant competing in a crowded fast-food market, the expectation is simple: accurate food, transparent communication, and professional customer service. This visit failed to consistently deliver all three. Management would be well served to review how employees communicate substitutions, handle drink corrections, and respond when customers report an issue with an order.

This is the best Sonic to visit. They are attentive to your order, your meals will be correct and fresh, and you will get GREAT service. There are two ladies that are ALWAYS working. They are the best! From kind exchanges, to bringing drinks out before the meal because the day is hot and they took the steps and extra thought. My family drives a little further to come to this Sonic, and it is well worth it. We have loved the scenic change as well, picnic tables are cute and always clean. We will be back, often.
