Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I’ve given this place many tries, even under different operators, and all I can say is that building is going to be a great spot for whatever comes to town next which sucks because the staff always seem very nice. Each visit has had one or multiple of the following things wrong. - missing ingredients. - cold burger - cold fries. - Drink with no flavoring because they can’t manage their own fountain system. - A long wait. The only time I had a “warm” burger was when they were actually very busy, and it was still made incorrectly.

I asked the employee for a new one and showed him the hard biscuit. He tried to say that just is how it is but he would make another. Went back there and made the whole thing without gloves. The cleanliness standards of Whataburger have always worried me a bit but that's it for me.
