  I am extremely sad we only just now found the Fillmore Cafe. We went there on a whim last weekend because we wanted to get some work done and needed a good coffee shop to do it. We were in the mood to try something new, and we stumbled upon this gem in Unity Village. The coffee was excellent - both the brewed and the cafe au lait. There's also a little bar if you're there on a Friday or Saturday (maybe other days, I'm not sure) for one of their events (see below). Say hi to Sunday or Jeremy if they're back there. My wife had the grilled cheese and said it was possibly the best she'd ever had. The service was top notch, as well - friendly, personable, and fast. It wasn't packed-busy but there were several people in line ahead of us and we were still pleased with the time it took to get our drinks. The entire crew there is outgoing and fun - or if they're not they're doing an excellent job pretending to be. ;) The atmosphere is simply spectacular. The chairs are comfortable, there's quite a bit of seating available, and it's split - there's a wall in the middle of it that really helps keep the noise you might find in other coffee shops down. Wi-fi was plenty fast, even with a good crowd. They've also got activities on Fridays and Saturdays (maybe other days; haven't checked that yet). There's music bingo on Fridays (with prizes!) and karaoke on Saturdays. So, if you just want a low-key fun place to hang out and have a glass of wine or a cup of coffee this is it. Bonus: EV chargers outside. It's certainly not something I'm judging a coffee shop on, but it was nice to top off the car that was otherwise sitting idle while we were in the cafe for a couple of hours.

  Very comfortable and has art displayed. Everything very fair priced. I have come here many times to meet friends who live in Lees Summit and Lake Lotawana. I’m near the plaza so it’s a good location to meet.

  If you’re visiting Unity Village, do yourself a favor and stop at The Fillmore Cafe! Such a cool, chic spot with an awesome vibe, featuring local art and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Whether you’re in the mood for a great cup of coffee, a glass of wine, a craft cocktail, or a bite to eat, they’ve got you covered. They also have music bingo and karaoke, making it a super fun spot for a date night or a get-together with friends. Perfect for a pre-hike boost or a relaxing post-trail treat since it’s conveniently located right across from the trailhead. Definitely a hidden gem worth checking out!

  Great atmosphere, food, drinks and service. I have been to Fillmore for meetings, studying and really enjoy Friday evening Singo (Bingo with music instead of numbers). One of my favorite hang outs!
