I have an admittedly very annoying order that often gets messed up. Its a plain burger with just the meat and the bun. It's a dumb request and I fully understand when people get it wrong. It takes less than a minute to fix and I'm on my way shortly after. This is not at all what happened this evening.
I pulled in around 11pm and ordered a plain quarter pounder specifically stating I would like "just the meat and the bun, with no cheese." This is how I order it every single time, because, again, it gets messed up a lot, and again, I fully understand when it happens. The person taking my order marked my burger as "plain" with "only american cheese". When I asked her to correct this, she said she could not (I don't really understand why though I took her word for it), but would tell the chefs to remove the cheese. This didn't happen. Burger has cheese on it. I asked for my order to be corrected and another woman has the audacity to tell me I didn't order it right (apparently I didn't specify that I only wanted meat and bun without the cheese (I did)) but she'd correct it. Cool. This also didn't happen. Instead, I got a burger with cheese, pickles, and onions on it. I guess I was also supposed to say I didn't want pickles and onions on it when I asked for my plain burger with no cheese and just the meat and the bun. I'm assuming at this point they were just making fun of me, and honestly, I should've just taken the hint and asked for my money back, but I instead drove back to the restaurant and asked for my order to again be replaced. She again had the audacity to tell me to "check it this time", like it was my fault for them messing up my order like this, twice. Sorry my order's annoying but I am literally just asking for two slices of bread with two hamburger patties.
Also as an aside, the drive thru stunk. Like really bad. This really should've been my first sign to run but I'd already paid at that point and thought I'd be out of there in the next ten minutes instead of thirty.
