Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Second time going to a Whataburger.
Good food and service. Restaurant was nice and clean as well.

First tried this place when they initially opened and everything was okay but these days I won’t stop there even if it’s the only place open 24 hours. Today I gave it one last go and got a horribly thin and unflavored disc of what you could call burger and a sad cold excuse for a side of fries. We had to raise our voices quite loud to get our order taken (incorrectly) and when we got up to the window we come to find the person taking care of us had an earbud in and is also chewing gum on the floor. Not impressed, won’t be coming back.

My only complaint is they charge $3 for a cup of ice 😬 i understand charging for a cup because inventory but $3 is outrageous.

I was in KC for the weekend and if I'm in a city with a Whataburger, I'm going! I was traveling back home so I just got my food to go. I didn't get a cinnamon roll or shake this time but normally I do because they are so delicious.
The portions are typically large with the burger being big as hell. What I love is the burger and bun match in size.
I didn't get any pictures because I got it to eat later, which I did. Because nothing beats eating Whataburger at home, especially when you live in a state that does not have one.
If you have yet to try this fast food joint, I highly recommend it!

I guess it was fate that on my first visit here, I’d run into a glitch. The counter person was also not experienced and my order took extra long holding up the line.
The staff kept their cool, called a manager and they expedited my order. I got a patty melt with grilled onions and it was/is fabulous. Delicious and perfectly cooked. The grilled onions were spot on, too.
Y’all will most likely see me again. That’s food!
