  We stumbled across the NY Butcher Shoppe and I’m so glad we did! We met the owner Glenn, who was friendly and passionate about what he and his team have to offer. You wouldn’t normally order fish when going into a steak place and expect it to be great, but I did and it was! I had the salmon with sweet potato puree and garlic spinach and it was delicious, the salmon cooked to perfection. Better than I have had in some fish restaurants. The portion of salmon was double the size I’d usually expect so really great value for money. The steak frites was also great value for money and cooked to perfection. The steak tender and tasty, and the fries were real potatoes with skin on, crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle they way they should be and not oily at all, Paired with a good wine and beer, we really enjoyed our experience here and the service was top notch. They also have a great butcher shop and store stocked with some great healthier food options. As well as ready meals in their fridge and freezer section. A great one stop shop.

  I'm at the Plaza monthly when my wife and I get our haircut at our daughter-in-law Jessica's salon at Sola. We always go to lunch together and NYB is one place we often visit. Their location in the former KCFD station #32, holds a lot of memories for me. My dad was a Captain at this station for many years. Everytime I'm there I can visualize the trucks in the bays and the location of the bunkroom and kitchen. It's becoming one of my favorite eateries. Yesterday's lunch included their $1 smoked chicken wings (delicious), smash burgers and the brisket grilled cheese. All of it was excellent quality. The staff is always courteous, friendly and attentive. It's a great Plaza eatery!

  We found our new favorite little prepared fresh food place. We had the lasagna with a side of frozen corn. Both were great, these will be a weekly purchase. The staff were so very friendly and knowledgeable about all that they offer.

  New York Butcher Shop does not ever disappoint. The servers are wonderful and always upbeat. The owner Glen is always so friendly and often checks in during our meal to make sure all is well. The FOOD is by far some of the best in KC….specifically the pork chop, the brussel sprouts, the sweet potatoes and the chocolate cake… I could go on and on about this outstanding menu but these are our top favs!
