The best bier and Bierhalle in the Midwest, hands down. Imported ingredients from Germany. The quality and craftsmanship in their bier are amazing! The food, service, and atmosphere are outstanding, as well.
Best German bier around—if you’ve not been here, you are missing out!

Whenever I ask a friend to meet up for a cold beverage, I suggest KCBC. Since visiting Germany a decade ago, I often have a hankerin' for some authentic German beer and a bratwurst. This place doesn't disappoint. Their beer garden outside is a lovely place to spend a late afternoon chatting away with some friends or co-workers. Helles is my favorite but most of their beers are excellent representations of German brewing. Prost!

If you’re in Kansas City and appreciate a proper pint, KC Bier Co. is an absolute must-visit. As someone who owns a pub and spends a lot of time around great food and beer, I’m always looking for places that get the details right and KC Bier delivers.
The beer was outstanding from the first sip. Clean, crisp, and brewed exactly the way German-style beers should be. You can tell they take a lot of pride in what they pour. Whether you’re a craft beer enthusiast or just someone who enjoys a really good lager, you’ll find something worth coming back for.
The food was just as impressive. We tried the giant pretzel with beer cheese and house pickles, along with the bierocks, and both were fantastic. The pretzel was perfectly baked, the beer cheese had great flavor, and the bierocks were packed with savory filling wrapped in soft, golden bread. Simple food done exceptionally well.
What stood out most was the atmosphere. It had that authentic beer hall feel, comfortable, welcoming, and built around enjoying good company over great beer. It’s the kind of place where one pint easily turns into two.

If you’re going to advertise gluten free items and drinks on your menu, please teach your staff how to appropriately handle requests for these items. This was my first time at KC Bier Co since being diagnosed with celiac disease and the two servers I interacted with have ensured it will be the last.
The first one, when I asked about the gluten-free Apfel Cider, he kind of laughed and said “well there’s gluten floating around everywhere in the air so it’s potentially contaminated.” So is it gluten free or not?
Later, I went to the bar to see if I could watch the cider being poured and when i explained why that would make me feel more comfortable to a different server, he told me “You can’t watch your drink being poured because there are other tickets before yours and idk when we’ll get to yours.” ?? I said can I not just stand here and watch? He said “I guess.”
I actually do trust that the cider is gluten-free. But I can’t trust the servers to take it seriously.

Great outdoor patio with dedicated staff for the area. Was greeted immediately on arrival and when a larger group of people joined us later we were able to switch seating without an issue. Service was kind and quick, and the bierocks were tasty.
Dog friendly on the paved outside patio with water bowls and cold water coolers for the pups.
It's also right off the trolley trail so it's a great spot to grab a drink after a ride or run.
