I stopped in today to get a few carryout tacos for lunch. The space is beautiful - blank walls with a few colorful murals. I sat at the bar, adjacent to the open kitchen. The kitchen looks exceptionally clean and efficient. Colorful plates and baskets adorn the shelves. It took a minute before anyone spoke to me at the bar, but it was busy and forgivable. I ordered, paid, and another server asked if I would like some water while I waited - everyone was exceptionally kind. Despite how busy they were, my food was out in under 10 minutes. I ordered two orders of halloumi tacos and one order of the kibbeh appetizer. The halloumi was simple, squeaky, and delicious. Topped with a watermelon salad that was a nice complement to the cheese. It did have a mayo-based sauce which I had asked about because my partner doesn't care for mayo. The kibbeh appetizer was fantastic. The texture reminded me of my favorite kibbeh from Zaytinya in Washington, DC (best in my life, but they took it off the menu!). The filling was quite different though, more cheese based. I would love to see them add a meat based kibbeh with currants, if possible. The accompaniments, especially the pickled vegetables, were delicious with the appetizer. I wish the owners and staff all the best and I will definitely be back to try more selections.

My boyfriend and I came here in a Thursday afternoon we ordered the guacamole which was delicious!!! He ordered the chicken shawarma burrito which was phenomenal and I got the lamb burrito they both come with pickled veggies and everything was absolutely amazing!! The green sauce is so good my boyfriend could not stop talking about it. The atmosphere was a 10/10 and like I said the food was absolutely delicious, definitely recommend.

If you’re in Kansas City and haven’t tried Beirut Taco yet, you are seriously missing out. This place is Lebanese-Mexican fusion done RIGHT — bold flavors, creative combinations, fresh ingredients, and food that actually tastes homemade. You can tell immediately that this isn’t “heat-and-serve” restaurant food from a bag or a box. Everything tastes real, carefully prepared, and made with passion. The menu is extraordinary. Every bite feels like two amazing food cultures collided in the best possible way. Unique, flavorful, comforting, and unforgettable. And honestly? The prices are more than fair for the quality and portion sizes you get. In a world full of overpriced mediocre food, Beirut Taco delivers a true experience. Bonus points for the complimentary parking in the building next door — super convenient and stress-free, especially downtown. Amazing food, amazing concept, amazing experience. Kansas City needed this place. 10/10 — Beirut Taco deserves ALL the hype.

I want to preface this by saying I really really want to love this place. I live right down the road and love the concept. Unfortunately, I think Beirut Taco is a little overpriced at the moment. I like the food - it’s pretty good. But I have yet to be impressed by any flavors or creations. While the food is pretty good, the problem I have is the price. It’s just a little too expensive currently to justify the amount of food at its currently quality. For $14 you get two tacos. They are good, but I am not sure they are worth $7 a piece, probably closer to $5. I have also ordered Chips and Salsa for $8 and the number of chips you receive are incredibly (almost jokingly) small. I want to really enjoy this restaurant, but as it stands right now I have walked in twice and left twice wishing the former restaurant here was still around. I just feel like with how much I am choosing to spend here I am leaving wishing I had just gone elsewhere.

Best restaurant in KC. I'm not kidding. I've only been there once, but I plan to go weekly. It will take a while to try everything on the menu. Beirut Taco is located in the old d'Bronx building at 39th & Bell. If you remember d'Bronx, that's good, because it has completely changed. The concept is Lebanese meets Mexican. Fabulous murals done by an artist that does cartoons, open kitchen, fresh tiles. The owner said chandeliers are coming as well as rugs, cushions and pillows...to dampen the sound. The bathrooms are especially nice. They are big, private, clean and simple. The sinks are very high quality featuring an integrated hand dryer. I had the ceviche tostada. It was fresh, tangy, delicious and very filling. It's a new favorite. We shared a watermelon salad with feta that was perfect. My husband had a chicken burrito which he said he would order again. That is high praise from the pickiest eater in KC. They don't have their liquor license yet, but it's coming.
