Pictures are misleading when it comes to portion sizes very small portions and small buns not alot of meat on sandwiches and very expensive Good food great people good beer . My question is about the portion sizes it's pretty small for what you pay for its small sandwiches for their BBQ sandwiches it says pilled high but it's not and its a small bun . And no sides included it doesn't feel u up and you pay alot for a small plastic glass of beer. I felt RIPPED OFF It's not German size portions . All you can eat breakfast is the best deal if you go . So has the portion sizes always been like this ? Why is it so small? Is rent high ? What happened? And very expensive for sausages with 2 sides . The portion sizes were dispointing

The BBQ pulled chicken sandwich was delicious. It had coleslaw under the chicken. Yummy! They offer samples and sell some awesome flavors of authentic German brauts.

I wanted to punch Wurstmeister Mike, for making such good food. I told him that i cook at home, and rarely do i enjoy going out to eat...the German Platter I had were so good, I couldn't finish it without telling Mike how much I enjoyed it. My favorites were the sweetened sauerkraut, a Pineapple and Bacon Brat, and the German Potato Salad (Which Mike assures me that it's great because of the Bacon they also make onsite). 5/5 recommend, and I even bought extra Brats to take home. I Salivate just thinking of going back.

An authentic and well-earned review—it’s truly an honor to give. If you’re in Hermann and looking for incredible food, I’ll confidently say you won’t find anything better than Hermann Wurst Haus. Despite living nearby and driving through Hermann many times, I had never stopped—until April 29, 2026. After this experience, I’m honestly wondering why I waited so long. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. Outside, they have vending machines stocked with their own high-quality brats—available anytime. Genius. Then we saw the “dog-friendly patio” sign, which immediately scored major points with us. Walking inside, we were greeted by a warm, welcoming atmosphere—and personally by the owner, Mike Sloan. He took the time to explain the ordering process and made us feel right at home. That level of customer service is rare and deeply appreciated. The staff was equally fantastic—friendly, helpful, and genuinely enjoyable to interact with. While waiting for our food (which came out quickly), we explored their shop. The amount of products they make in-house is seriously impressive—and the free samples are next level. Way better than anything you’ll find at a big-box store. Now the food… We ordered the daily special Reuben on rye (outstanding) and the “Best of Show Bratwurst” (an absolute must). For sides, we had German potato salad, smoked gouda pasta salad, and traditional potato salad—and every single one was exceptional. The German potato salad, in particular, was even better than what I’ve had in Baden-Baden. Naturally, I had to learn more about what makes this place so special. Talking with Mike, it became clear: passion, craftsmanship, and years of dedication. He even competes in Germany—and regularly earns top honors, often with perfect scores from German judges. That tells you everything you need to know. If you’re anywhere near Hermann, do yourself a favor and stop at Hermann Wurst Haus. You won’t be disappointed.

The brats are very good. They are salty. They are not greasy. I had mushroom and Swiss ones, but tasted neither. It tasted like a plain brat, but it was still good. Prices are higher, but the quality seems higher, too. No nitrates used for processing per reading of the label. We look forward to trying the 3 kinds of bacon that we also purchased.
