  Chef D did his thing in the kitchen! The food was hot, perfectly seasoned, and came out pretty quick. Pauline on the bar had my leanin' off 1 drink 🤣. A perfect way to finish out my Juneteenth! We'll definitely be back for brunch.

  Found this spot when searching for a new place to treat my husband for an early Fathers Day brunch. Could not make a reservation online. Called and AI representative set up the reservation. We pull in no cars are there at 1pm on a Saturday so we are not sure if they are closed. Walk in and we are the only guest. We immediately notice the floors are sticky as if recently mopped with dirty water. There was one waitress a bar tender and the chef. The waitress had no clue about the menu but a sweetheart. Bartender didnt know i was asking for red wine when I asked for a cabernet. Womens Bathrooms had old dirty flat irons sitting on the sink. I ordered Brussels sprouts and wings. My husband ordered the short ribs. Brussels were decent but wings were basic naked fried chicken dipped in a sauce. My husband's short ribs were more so beef gravy and mashed potatoes. Literally no real substance of meat present. The chef decided to give him and extra bowl of whatever that was on on the side. Half my glass of wine spent on accident. When asked the bartender if I could get the half glass replaced she stated she called the manager and the manager basically said it was on me because I dropped it. Literally, would not have cost more than a few dollars the establishment to show good hospitality for people spending over $100 for 2pl. Forgot to add I was served wine in a champagne glass. Overall poor upkeep and cleanliness, overpriced food for basic ingredients and preparation, zero hospitality and poor customer service.

  Stone x Steel is a hidden gem in north county! We made a reservation but arrived a little early — they seated us right away without hesitation. The service is amazing; as soon as you walk in the door, you feel welcomed. The chef even came out to check on us and offered great food suggestions. The food and drinks are fantastic — be sure to try the crispy Brussels. The char on them is perfect and the pecans really set it off!

  I am only giving this restaurant 2 stars instead of 1 because the catfish was good and i feel bad for the bartender that worked here last week. I was hoping this would be the new afterwork HH location for my coworkers and myself however this place lacked a lot of things such as: 1. They had no diet sodas 2. They had mocktails but were out of several ingredients to make some of them 3. They were out of food at 3pm on a Friday 4. They really need more upbeat music unless the theme is slow R&B which i personally like, but not for an after work HH vibe 5. Patio was not prepared to be used and it the summer months. This should always be ready 6. Floors were sticky If these things are corrected then i think it would be a great location to visit
