  The team at Aldar was exceptional! They provided us an excellent experience and 5 star service through the whole night. My family and I had planned my mother's birthday dinner at the restaurant and made sure to call them to ensure that they could take on our large group size. Not only did they accommodate our group of 30+; they ensured that everyone was well taken care of and provided us ample dining space to make sure that there was a place to grab food from, decorate for pictures, and comfortable seating. I've been to the restaurant a couple of times and tried many items on their menu such as their lamb dishes, mandi chicken, and their appetizers. All of it is truly unique and of a high quality. You truly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. If you haven't tried out Aldar yet you have to check it out now!

  If you haven’t tried this Yemeni restaurant yet, you’re missing out! The lamb was unbelievably tender, so soft it literally fell off the bone. Every dish was packed with incredible flavor, and it’s easily some of the best food I’ve had in West County. The owner personally welcomed us, making the experience even more memorable. I already can’t wait to come back and bring all of my family and friends. Highly recommend!

  Today my husband and I had an unexpectedly excellent dining experience at Aldar. We were pleased at the cleanliness and the attractive decor. The friendly staff was very attentive and recommended a lamb shank dish -- there were two large shanks (the meat fell off the bones!) on a bed of wonderfully seasoned rice. The meal came with soup and a generous helping of a garlic/yogurt sauce and a spicy tomato salsa, both of which complemented the entree perfectly. The portion was so large, we split the meal and were fully satisfied! The menu showed pictures of the various items so we knew what we were getting. They even had parlor-style booths so guests could dine in proper Yemeni style. Dining here was almost an adventure -- everything was fresh, tasty and fun -- and we can't wait to go back!

  What an incredible dining experience! We wanted to authentic Yemeni cuisine, and Aldar exceeded every expectation. The homemade hummus with the lamb and tomato topping was incredibly fresh and delicious. The traditional Muko fish and Chicken Mandi were perfectly seasoned, incredibly tender, and served with fragrant rice and fresh accompaniments. The portions were unbelievably generous… leftovers for days! Don’t skip the drinks! The fresh lemon mint drink was refreshing, the homemade black milk tea was rich and comforting, and the traditional Yemeni coffee was the perfect finish to the meal. What truly made the experience special was the hospitality. The staff took time to explain the traditions, the dishes, and how to enjoy them, making us feel genuinely welcome. It wasn’t just dinner, it was a cultural experience. Aldar is a hidden gem, and we’ll absolutely be back with friends and family. Highly recommend!

  Aldar is one of the best places I've found for authentic Yemeni food. The flavors are rich and well-balanced, and you can tell everything is made fresh. The lamb was incredibly tender, the rice was perfectly seasoned, and the portions were generous for the price. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, and had a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to enjoy the meal. If you're looking to try authentic Yemeni cuisine or simply want something different from the usual Mediterranean restaurants, Aldar is definitely worth a visit. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu. Their selection of traditional dishes like Haneeth, Mandi, Saltah, and fresh Yemeni bread makes this a place I'd recommend to anyone looking for flavorful, home-style Middle Eastern food.
