  I had a great experience my first time ordering from the website and receiving it by delivery. The food was fresh and accurate. I had ordered a different menu item today which was the salmon and it was over cooked, a tad dry, and very cold (very fishy- similar to a previous review I saw here). I cannot leave any feedback on anything other than the delivery experience because I have not visited the store in person yet. Nothing else was wrong other than just the salmon.

  I have planned on getting food here as I've heard good things, but they are consistently out of multiple items - I would understand if it were a single sauce or LTO promotion, but it has been (what I would assume are) major staples on multiple days. Today - out of Basmati Rice, Cucumber, Blondies, Cookies, all Fountain Drinks, Teas, and Lemonades. I will update when they actually have product in stock, but surprising for such a new location.

  I’ve been to the location in Cottelville and feel in love with the food. I was so exited that this location was opening up closer to home. However, I was disappointed. The salmon tasted very fishy and not fresh. The pita was bland and flimsy. The portions were off - too much dressing just drowned out the other flavors. The pickled onions tasted like red onion without any pickling. I would have liked to see a little more care with the construction on the bowl. Maybe after the employees get a little more experience? I won’t be rushing back.

  CAVA is my favorite fast-casual restaurant. I have celiac disease and require a safe gluten-free option. I’ve had CAVA on the East Coast and have been counting down the days to the Des Peres location opening. I ordered my meal online and it was ready when advertised. I noticed right away that my bowl was lighter than expected. Sure enough, it wasn’t nearly as full as I’m accustomed to when I’ve gotten it from other locations. I’ll give them a pass since they just opened, but hopefully that improves. I got a rice and lettuce bowl and there was so little rice that for half the meal, I thought they forgot to add it at all. Regardless, the flavors were amazing. Overall, it’s an incredibly flavorful place that’s fast and celiac safe. My wife and I will be coming here weekly and I’m so glad to have it in Des Peres!

  We went on the first day and they seemed to have their act together for a very busy opening. I have no knowledge of Mediterranean food, which is what this is, and it is also Mediterranean fast food. I had the Steak + Harissa bowl. The flavors were very fresh and flavorful; a pleasant flavor I have not experienced before. The steak was good but low quality as I picked out a few pieces of gristle. My wife had the Chicken and Rice which was good. The soft drinks included Maine Root Beer which tasted like any other good root beer. They also had a fruit drink which tasted like watered down Kool-Aid. That was pretty bad. The servers behind the counter were friendly and helpful and we got through the long line quickly. But was this worth $32 plus tax for the two bowls alone? That's a sad question to ask cause I can see me eating there when we don't have time to cook or for lunch.
