  If you want completely self-serve and all items packaged to go and the smallest portions seen in a Panera at the price of a set-down restaurant, come here, and you'll get it. It is mind boggling to compare the Bread Co. of old to this. Memories of all the good years, great food, and relationships that were experienced at Bread Co's in the past came flooding back as I sat with family yesterday eating the smallest portion of soup in a 1/2 cup paper cup with a 2 1/2" piece of bread on a 1/2 sandwich made with sour dough where I was not given the choice of bread (I cannot eat sour dough and didn't eat it) given a huge tea cup that was twice the amount I wanted as well as twice the price. The kiosk had one size and price listed. My son's apple was tiny. It's the biggest giveaway to knowing exactly what Panera's plans are for making money. I can't even find apples that size at a duscount store. They must be intentionally looking for the smallest size they can get away with. I just had to get it through my head that the Bread Co of the past and the people concerned about selling a quality product with great customer service are gone for good. I'm not paying another dime for the concept Panera is now dishing out. I think they're making their dime on our memories of the past. That's why I was there yesterday and my experience convinced me to not fall for it again. Im just angry at myself for not catching on sooner. Best memory from the past? St. Louis Bread Co in Brentwood. Walk in, put $ in a cup by entry, picked up a coffee cup to go. Nice music, fire in fireplace, sold their own olive oil dipping sauce for fresh breads. Wonderful wheat loaves, raisin bread, white, later, focaccia. Sitting across the table from my 2-year old son who would eat a pumpkin muffin while I savored a chocolate mocha. Occasionally this son, when he'd hear music playing in any store would say, "pumpkin muffin music". Those memories are a start. To the people who brought the original Bread Co to life, thank you so much. To those running the place now, I feel robbed.

  SIDNEY WAS SO KIND!!!! I placed an order for the wrong location. Not only did she make me a new one with all the notifications, she was sweet, gracious, and understanding.

  It's okay they're not my favorite store restaurant and this one pretty much like the other ones.
