this is my second time here. first time was amazing, this time not so much. we went in at 8:15, so almost 2 hours before close. half of the stuff was put out, or almost gone. he gave me 2 scoops of rice, one scoop of chicken and about 4 scoops of olives... the scoops of dips weren't full just scraping what was left out of the containers, and barely any of the sauces as well. the food tasted fine, but my issue is that I paid $16 for a half a bowl (if that) and some pita chips .. super disappointed with my experience this time, and felt like such a rip off.
I have to give a huge shoutout to Hallie and Jaxon at CAVA! I stop in for lunch regularly, and they consistently make the experience so enjoyable.
Hallie is incredibly friendly, always greets me with a smile, and somehow keeps the line moving quickly while still making every customer feel welcomed. Jaxon is just as great. He’s friendly, attentive, and clearly takes pride in providing great service. They make what could easily be a quick, transactional lunch feel genuinely welcoming.
The food is always delicious and fresh and the friendly staff like Hallie and Jaxon are what keep me coming back. They’re efficient, personable, and create such a positive atmosphere.

Just save yourself the trouble and make this stuff at home. At least at home you don’t have a bunch of people looking at you like YOURE stupid for them putting the wrong dips in a “signature recipe bowl.” Hey! Why have the signature recipes if no one can follow them? Watched them switch those little recipe cards up between my two bowls twice and when I pointed it out the lady rolled her eyes at me and just walked away. Protein guy picked it up, threw his arms up, and threw me the exasperated bone of “we won’t charge you for the random extra dips she put in there.” Thanks!!!! But no thanks.

This was my second visit there. The first time I went was on grand opening day and everything was fantastic. Workers were super helpful and food was presented very fresh and tasted well! However today I was disappointed in the service with the guy who checked me out. I got all the way to the end and he rang me out and just kind of tapped the top of my bowl pushed it forward to me on the counter and said, "here you go" And I'm like, 🤔here you go?...
So i said "can I get a bag?"
He them just passed the bag to me and I had to bag my food myself.. And I'm thinking, am I supposed to pay for the bag or something? Like what's the issue?I was really disappointed that I would not have got a bag for my food purchase had i not asked.i guess I was suppose to just walk out the establishment with this bowl of food in my bare hands. Poor customer service.
EDIT: I was told to reach out via email. I did.... twice now with 0 response🤷🏾‍♀️

We have been Cava fans since we lived in Dallas years ago. When we heard there was one in St. Peters, we got so excited. Even though we live in Florissant we wanted to make the trip out. We visited at 7:20pm on Saturday August 22nd and it looked like the restaurant had been pretty busy at one point because it wasn’t very clean. We understood that but what we didn’t understand was the young man behind the register slamming our drink cups upside down on the counter and throwing our food at us like we did something to upset him!? We asked for an to go back for our pitas and it seemed like we were bothering him. Everyone else was patient on the line but the checkout was completely ridiculous and left us with a very bad attitude about this place. Like, why treat us like that? I hate to bring race into the picture but we were black and the gentleman was too. He was super nice to the white people that were behind us. Just for background, we are an older over 50 couple and kind folks. The heck??
Make it make sense?
That, along with them being out of the garlic dip - my favorite AND avocado (I’m vegan so that sucked)… is enough reason for a 3-star rating.
Nah, not worth the drive.
