I had one of the worst customer service experiences at this Taco Bell.
I arrived around 10:30 PM. The front door was still unlocked and open, so I naturally assumed the lobby was still accepting customers. I walked inside, and there was an employee mopping the floor. They looked at me but never said the lobby was closed or that they were no longer serving customers inside. If someone had simply told me the lobby was closed, I would have left and gone through the drive-thru.
Instead, I stood there placing my order for about 15–20 minutes. After I finally finished ordering, the employees suddenly told me they were no longer accepting lobby orders because they were closed. I explained that I had no way of knowing because the door was still open and nobody had informed me when I walked in. Rather than apologizing, they told me to leave and go through the drive-thru.
When I went to the drive-thru to explain the situation, they told me they were no longer taking orders there either. I asked politely, “I didn’t know you were closed. Your door was still open, so what am I supposed to do now?” Instead of helping me, one of the employees told me to “be quiet” while they decided what they wanted to do. Their attitude was extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. The way they treated me made me feel discriminated against and completely unwelcome.
To make matters even worse, I had already paid $ 11.89 for my order, yet I never received any food. I wasted my time, my money, and was treated with absolutely no respect. No customer should ever be spoken to or treated this way.
This was by far the worst Taco Bell experience I’ve ever had. Management seriously needs to train their employees on basic customer service, communication, and professionalism. If the lobby is closed, lock the doors or clearly inform customers before they spend time ordering. I will not be returning to this location, and I would not recommend it to anyone.
I went through at 230AM, Staff was very friendly, food was fresh, and my chicken quesadilla was fully cut into pieces, no tearing while driving required.

Given it multiple chances...food is such poor quality now vs in past...items are so expensive and barely any filling. One of my burritos smelled and tasted of spoiled dairy and I threw it away after one bite. Sad im not eating taco bell anywhere or ever again...a 90s kid, it used to be my jam, recent years it has only gotten worse and worse. We have such amazing Mexican food in town and the prices are similar if not better...I can't justify buying taco bell anymore because it such low quality

I'm not a Taco Bell fan in the first place, but my kids like to eat here every now and then. About 8 out of 10 times, the Taco Bell in Carthage cannot get my order right. There is always something missing or wrong. It is very consistent. Someone needs to figure out how to hire people that can read and count. It should be very simple, but the folks here are horrible at it.

Very disappointing service. The employees seemed completely disinterested in helping customers and were generally unhelpful when I needed assistance. There was little sense of urgency or basic customer service, and the overall attitude made it feel like customers were an inconvenience rather than people they were there to serve.
I understand fast-food restaurants can get busy, but being courteous, attentive, and willing to help should be a basic expectation. This location could definitely use improvement in customer service and employee engagement.
