I was at this Panera on last Monday, and was appalled at the way a Caucasian female manager handled a customer complaint. A tall middle aged fair-skinned African American lady (employee) with red braids, was allowed to scream loudly in the restaurant, after a customer and she had an exchange regarding sugar. She hit the back door going to the kitchen area telling the customer to leave, came back into the dining area, ran in the food prep area, and would not allow the customer to discuss issue with the manager. She interjected herself in this exchange. The manager could not and would not restrain her, and added to this employees foolishness. The manager did not want to hear the customer. This employee was later allowed to talk loudly to other employees about her exploit and exchange with that customer. This loud noise webt on for at least 20 minutes. These employees laughed loudly, and the manager failed to shut it down. After reading about the Tim Horton resturant incident where an employee touched a customer who had a complaint, and was fist fighting this 75 year old, who died after this brawl, I think it wise that Panera carefully consider the employees they hire, do drug testing if needed, because this employee had to be on drugs or totally from a street background. This type of employee is going to cause another legal action that will have nothing to do with 'caffeine' but due to this same employee fighting a (customer), or repeat what that employee did and caused at Tim Hortons --- someone's death. No one should expect this at a restaurant.🤧😠
