Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Worst Whataburger in the country. Makes you hate every Whataburger. No one is ever at the counter, even after they see you it'll be about 10 minutes, you wait 20 minutes for mediocre food (45 minutes if they have any more than 5 people waiting) even for fast food. There was hair in our food.

Very sloppy. My pickles were stacked together and hanging off by sandwich. I had a chunk of lettuce instead of a couple leaves. Hubby asked for no onions and his sandwich was full of onions. All the tables were dirty, there were no napkins, and the dining area is really small.

The food was great but I did feel sorry for the waitress. There was a guy in there that had waited over 30 minutes. I know it was not her fault and I did feel sorry for him. The food was good and the atmosphere was also great.

The food isn't their problem but rather a lack of customer service. I had to place my order on the kiosk which by the way is out of paper. I removed onions and added ketchup to my burger. Well lone behold upon receiving the meal there were onions and only mustard on it. The employees don't seem to give a crap about what the customer wants or doesn't want.

The place was completely empty, yet the employee at the register acted like taking our order was a personal inconvenience. No greeting, no basic courtesy, just a clear attitude that we weren’t welcome.
We ordered three sausage bowls, 2 waters and a black coffee. It took 20 minutes just to get the food, and when it came out, the coffee was missing. When we asked about it, we were told, “I have to brew it, hold on,” as she walked away. So after already waiting that long, it hadn’t even been started.
We ended up waiting about 35 minutes total for a very simple order, in an empty restaurant, with zero communication and no apology.
I understand overnight shifts aren’t easy, but that doesn’t excuse rude service, poor time management, and treating customers like they’re a problem.
If this is what “fast food” looks like here, I’d rather stay hungry.
