Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
The food is what’s to be expected BUT the cleanliness is in need of ALOT of work. There were pieces of food under the tables, about 4 flies in the room that we had to keep swatting away from our food, a family left a mess when they left and nobody came to clean. And then I tried using one of the one for all restrooms: it was out of soap, the paper towel dispenser was broken and the trashcan was overflowing and spilling onto the floor.
They need to step up with cleanliness.

Very dirty restaurant workers all in back cooking do not help with ordering or take orders. Hard to get them to the front for questions. They also do not pay attention to online orders. Served cold chewy fries. Saw a manager walk out and didn’t even tell anyone to clean the front it’s a very small restaurant I shouldn’t take too many workers to run it correctly. They need help. Maybe get your order to go and eat in your car. I wouldn’t advise to use their bathroom either.

As someone who loves Whataburger, I have to say: this is definitely the worst Whataburger I’ve ever been to. My wife and I came here during our honeymoon trip and the restaurant was absolutely filthy. All the tables were dirty, trash and food littered the floor, and there were flies all over the dining area. When ordering on the kiosk, there were no workers around to assist us OR to inform us of the fact that there were no #’s to take to our table. After 10 minutes of waiting around, a fellow customer informed us that there were no numbers and to put in a fake number.
When we got our food, it was awful. All of the items I asked for were on my wife’s burger, and vice versa. And the staff was stingy, only giving us 2 ketchup packets to share for our meal.
If I was the franchise owner, I would fire everyone, condemn the building, and open it somewhere else. This restaurant is a disgrace to the good name of Whataburger.

If I could leave a 0 star, I would. The lobby was a pigsty. Tables, chairs, and the floor were disgusting with trash and bits of food everywhere. There were at least 10 flies swarming around the dining room. We placed our order on the self-order kiosk, but when it came time to enter the table number, none were available. Staff were not present to greet you and never came out to assist my husband and I when needed. Finally another guest told us, “They told us to put in a random number. Apparently all their table number signs were stolen.” When receiving our order, the toppings my husband ordered were on my burger and the toppings I ordered were on his. The receipt that was on the tray with our food clearly stated how it was ordered. My husband and I love Whataburger and eat there frequently when we travel, however, we will never come back to this location. Whoever owns this store needs to clean house and start over because clearly the store and it’s customers are not being taken care of.

I haven't had Whataburger since I was in Texas years ago. This is in line with expectations... food was served hot and fresh: fries were notably good, the grilled chicken sandwich was delightful and the others in my party indicated the burgers were tasty. Restrooms were single stall with locks/clean. We went after our evening show, so it was pretty late with a more skeletal team, and the wait was kit excessive. There is a very small dining area, so during peak times, that may cause an issue with seating. I would go back!
