  Birthday dinner. Let me start with the one bright spot: Cody, our server, is a genuine professional who deserves a far better team than the one he's been handed. I tipped him normally. Everyone else in the building, however, made it a real test of willpower. We arrived at 7 on a Sunday. The dining room had some empty tables, and we were quoted a "30 minute" wait. I get it people don’t show up for reservations sometimes! What the manager-looking lady and the nice man at the host stand neglected to mention was that the bar was open seating. We learned this the fun way: by watching every single party that arrived after us get told they could sit there. My wife and I apparently didn't make the guest list for our own dinner. Cool kids club only I guess. Then came the main event. A couple walked up, said they thought they had a reservation, and didn't. So they made one through "Google" while standing at the host stand!? The gentleman told them they'd go on the waitlist. The manager-looking lady, who I sincerely hope is not actually a manager, overruled him with, "I've never seen that before so I'll go ahead and just sit you now." And off they went. After 30 minutes, we got seated. Cody took our order and entered it perfectly. Unfortunately, the kitchen then failed to read the entire ticket…. my sides were wrong and my wife’s order was entirely wrong. By the time her correct food arrived, while waiting for her food mine got pretty cold and my appetite was just gone. Never mind the sauce that got knocked over 1/4 of my plate, which also wasn’t Cody’s fault as he didn’t bring the food. I could tell he was confused picking up my plate with most of the food left. At least the mozzarella bricks were great. Cody apologized, but he had nothing to apologize for…. Genuinely I didn’t want his apology. It's not his fault his team is just lackluster and management is okay with that. He was also the only person all night who offered any kind of apology at all…. I’ve had a GM come check in on me at chick fil a to see if I’m okay, but apparently you’re as likely to get a JCS manager on duty to come apologize or simply say hello as you are to win the lottery. Fun fact from a real estate/business nerd, Joe's Crab Shack had nearly 140 locations in 2014!! As of this year, it's down to about 14… :((((( That's roughly 90% of the chain gone, and after Sunday, I'm no longer confused about why. If they're down to their last few, I'd suggest letting Cody run one, but honestly I bet he’s smart enough to say no to that! Please don’t contact me. I don’t want to edit my review, and be provided any compensation now.

  Tonight I honestly believe I had the best restaurant experience I’ve had in years. The waiters and staff were so fun and accommodating. Taking a 3 year old out for dinner is always an anxious endeavor, but from the time we sat down to the time we left the staff helped entertain and accommodate her (and us) We all had a great time, our waiter, Sam, took great care of us and, despite being very busy tonight, our drinks were filled, food was great, and frequently made sure we were taken care of. I honestly want to say thank you to all the staff in this review(I never leave reviews) thank you for making sure my family had a wonderful time tonight, they have been working really hard and you all made tonight special. Thank you 🙏 we will be back soon!!!

  Sam was an absolutely amazing server, checked on us very frequently and made sure we had everything we needed. He was very nice, even treated teenagers with tons of respect(which you don’t find often). 10 out of 10 recommended coming here(especially if Sam is your server!

  Went in for a dinner as a couple. We were seated quickly, however, it took several minutes for a server to initially come to the table. He dropped off menus and took a drink order. It again took about 10 minutes to get our initial drinks. Once the dinner order was taken, it was prepared quickly and very good quality. However, my drink ran out, and the server was nowhere to be found. I ended up flagging down another server from another section to get a refill. Our server finally returned, and asked if we needed anything. I told him that I needed another drink refill. He left for several minutes, and then came back with a brochure and was trying to sell me some sort of discount club membership. I was not interested in being sold a discount club membership, but I was interested in trying to get a drink refilled. After the attempted sales pitch, he returned several minutes after that with my final refill. It was like pulling teeth to get a drink topped off. We were going to stay for more drinks and a dessert, but I just wasn’t feeling it so we left. This was my second time there, and my first experience was much more positive.

  The view of Lake Taneycomo was great. The food is so overpriced but tasted delicious. Our problem was that our waitress tried to kill us multiple times. We told her about a serious citrus allergy before ordering drinks. She brought both waters with lemon when we told her again that our table couldn't have any lemons or limes. She then brought an alcoholic beverage with a lime on it which we quickly wrapped in paper towels and discarded. She then asked if the non-allergic customer was okay to have lemon butter on their shrimp and we said yes, just can't bring actual fruit to our table. There were then two lemon wedges on the plate when she brought it out. Luckily today was just a mild reaction and no epiPen was needed.
