My friends and I went there on the grand opening, and I know you cannot expect very much out of the employees because they are brand new to the job, but I don’t think that the older gentleman that was working was aware of that. He was not very nice to the employees, which didn’t make a good impression on me because they are still learning! They had accidentally used the wrong size of cup for sour cream, and he flipped out on them and started rolling his eyes. I could tell that this was not the first time that they had been yelled at just by the employees reactions to this incident. I also asked if they had done military discount, because other Qudobas that I have been to have, and he said that is a good question, and he disappeared. He then came back and he said no. He didn’t say I am sorry or thank you for your service or anything like that, which was slightly disappointing. I do not expect praise for the military discount or anything like that, but it is nice to be kind or thank someone for their service. :) it’s just upsetting that this location doesn’t honor the military discount, or treat their employees very kindly, from what I saw. Other than that, the food was great, but there are hardly any places to sit, so not very good for big families if you want to eat inside.
For this particular Qdoba, it was fine. For being just opened, and also new to the area, I expected a little more guidance around ordering but I'm not new to this type of service either so I didn't have any problems sticking to my "usual" order. If you are indecisive, know what you want ahead of time, because there is a lot of options. Plus, it's a fairly small store, so there may not be any seating in store if it's busy but it also has few dedicated parking spots to match.
In general, there's nothing special about this Qdoba. Qdoba tastes good enough, though it's a little more bland than alternatives. My only gripe is that it is somehow slightly more expensive across the board. Tastes less, costs more. BUT if less spice is what you need, then it's a fairly good option and still comes with a reasonable portion of food (usually). They also have some unique offerings like free queso in an entree, or Verde salsa, that does help it stand out. Tangentially, I was annoyed that the offerings online were different than in the store, and the in-store point-of-sale system was noticeably slow.
We'll see if service can hold up long term, and I'm hoping prices adjust once the shiny new veneer wears off.

I'll start by saying that we usually LOVE Qdoba! Unfortunately this experience may have changed that for us. We did an online order to avoid the line. The burrito was comparable to the size I've a Taco Bell burrito, had nothing on Chipotle. My bowl was placed in the bag upside down on top of the kids meal so it leaked all over the chips, which were all smashed. We had maybe 3 dippable chips. And the icing on the cake it was all cold, after having to wait 10 min past estimated time. Why did we have to wait for cold food, I'm not sure. Sorry to say, I don't think we will be returning.
What to say.....
Ordered a bowl, with steak, queso, white rice, corn, salsa, Pico, cheese, and lettuce, and onions and peppers. I also had a cookie (chocolate chip), a fountain soda, and chips. Total was 20$
Everything tastes extremely processed here. Almost like a catering event at work and they went with the super cheap taco bar from a grocery store. A great example is this is like going and eating papa John's after you have eaten mod pizza for three weeks. Just tastes like its mass produced, and not very controlled in quality. The rice was super soggy and watered down, the queso tasted like plastic, and the corn and steak tasted like it came from a can they picked up from Walmart this morning. Not very good. The flavor is very bland, and not really awakening your taste buds. Also, the cookie tasted like it was freezer burnt and was extremely dry. I wouldn't honestly recommend.
There is not alot of seating option so I would recommend getting your food to go.
Service was fine, and staff was friendly. Just not into the food. Good luck qdoba.

It is exciting to see that QDOBA is opening more locations across KC like this one in Blue Springs.
The staff is extremely friendly, the food is fresh and flavorful, and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. The best part is they offer free guac & queso on any entree instead of charging extra and there are a lot of proteins and salsas to choose from.
It was busy but the line moved very quickly and the employees did a great job managing the dinner rush. I will be back soon!
