For the price of the food, the quality was lackluster and the service was sub par. It took over an hour for our sushi to come out of the kitchen and the food was average. Truly, you can find sushi of the same quality or better at Hawaiian grocery stores. The main thing this restaurant really has going for it is the ambiance of the property.

It’s a tourist trap. Dont know what else to say. It’s like going to Disney world or Paris and messing up on a dinner choice. My partner and I both agreed it’s the worst meal we’ve had at this price point. When we walked up the hostess was unwelcoming and when she sat us she handed the menu to my partner who is male prior to me (it’s not that I care, but it’s supposed to be upscale dining ) and just shows either a lack of training or etiquette/ care. Our main gripe was the food. So bland and the fish was not good quality. The hamachi had so much gray and tasted so fishy— we didn’t even finish it. Also the presentation of the carpaccio is truly horrid they cover the entire fish in a heap of lettuce. Do better! This is someone’s proposal… honeymoon… babymoon. Come on.

Great atmosphere and flavorful food. Highly recommend the sticky ribs — they were so good I could've made a whole meal out of just those. Every dish we had was fantastic, and the service was great too.

We spent our anniversary evening at Morimoto and it was an excellent choice! Although I wish we had a view of the ocean, the restaurant is near the hotel pool, so sitting inside was probably a little quieter and made it easier for us to have conversations.
The service started off a little rocky due to a long wait to get water, and then drink orders in, but once the wine was at our table, the 5 star service began. Appetizers came out quickly, we tried the Sushi Pizza because it was a Morimoto specialty and we were getting very traditional entres. Our second course was the nigiri + maki plate and the fish was fantastic! The chef picks the maki and we got a spicy yellow tail roll. Throughout dinner, our server Vinny continued to top off our wine glasses with the bottle we purchased. He was fantastic and unprompted apologized for the slow start, which we had forgotten about at this point in our meal.
The nigiri was excellent! All the cuts were tender, flavorful and the appropriate temperature - not too cold! When sushi is served too cold, it doesn’t have as much flavor.
We had a wonderful time and will likely go back!

Was very excited about this restaurant but was disappointed. The meal had some great standouts - sticky ribs - but also some big disappointments. Also disappointed in the service, we asked for some recommendations and were simply pointed to the two highest priced (by a lot) items. Which weren't the greatest.
