If you are looking for a quiet, calm, and relaxing meal, I personally would look elsewhere!
Plantation House used to be one of our favorite traditions to eat at on our last night of our trip! The food is decent, but most importantly the views and the ambience WAS incredible! We had such a great memory here we wanted to relive it.
Well last night was our night to finally eat here and we ended up having to get up and leave.
The bar area was FILLED with people who were so loud. My husband never ever complains, but yesterday even he could not stand it. They were cackling, yelling, and hooting and honestly seemed like they were having a great time! I don’t fault the restaurant for this.
What I am giving a bad review about is the lack of understanding from the hostesses and their horrible attitude. The original table they gave us was RIGHT by the bar (and tons of empty seats other places). My husband asked if we could be moved because we couldn’t hear each other over the shrieking at the bar. The hostess looked annoyed but said sure, so we found an empty table in the corner. The waiter said we could sit there. THEN the hostess comes over and rudely tells us we need to move to a table back near the bar on the other side (equally as loud). So we obliged. Then another waiter comes over and starts scolding us saying we can’t sit at the table the hostess JUST told us to sit at since we were only a party of 4…. Well then be sees we are a party of 5 and he miscounted and said “ok you can sit here”. So unnecessary.
After finally sitting down amongst the chaos, my husband kept asking me something, but I couldn’t hear him about the rowdiness of the bar. Finally he yelled so I could hear “let’s please leave!” Mind you my husband is the quietest man who does not raise his voice but he had had it. Thankfully he was able to make reservations last minute at Ulu’s.
Upon leaving, this is the only place I’ll give 5/5 stars. Carlos the manger was SUPER kind and tried to remedy the situation, but at this point I was done. Had he been there sooner I would’ve been open to it, but between the craziness at the bar and the rudeness of all the waiter and hostesses (except the one female waitress who was nice and felt bad that the noise was so crazy) I don’t expect to come back. My husband was super bummed since that was his favorite tradition, but I think this restaurant has changed. When we used to go it was such a nice environment to relax and enjoy. Last night we had to yell at each other just to hear.
Again Carlos was super kind, but I’m not sure why they couldn’t have offered the solution earlier. Instead the waiters and the hostesses had us bouncing around and being rude about us just wanting to be away from the chaos.
Also as we were leaving we could tell other gusts were upset by the noise. Again, I don’t expect the restaurant to do anything about the sound since it was just a huge group having what sounded like a rowdy party, but the other guests I’m sure wanted a nice calm dinner. We saw multiple tables that looked annoyed.

Made reservations for my beautiful wife and me for 6:30pm on a Wednesday for our 18th wedding anniversary. Valet was not an option, and parking was plentiful. Hostess sat us at what seemed to be the ONLY 2-person table where one seat was not facing the course/sunset. Odd decision on her part. However, Denny was our server and saved the day. He let us move closer to the bar area and window seat, and it was not busy at all in that area.
We had the calamari, short rib, and the shrimp scampi. It was all delicious. We also had an old fashioned and a filthy martini. Bartender killed it. Denny killed it with the service. If we were staying here longer, we would come back again. Aside from the initial seating mishap, we received the value of what we paid.
Denny, it was a pleasure meeting you. You made the difference. Happy to hear what the Lord has done in your life.

Booked a table for 6:00 hoping to catch the beautiful sunset and we were not disappointed. Others have mentioned that it is valet parking only but there was no indication that there were any valets working. There was no dedicated non-alcoholic drink menu but we were able to select an alcoholic drink minus the booze - it was like a passionfruit puree mojito with mint. We enjoyed the complimentary warm bread rolls and both ordered the macadamia nut crusted Mahi Mahi which was excellent and a generous portion. At our waiter’s recommendation we tried the pineapple upside cake while we watched the sun set. The view was breathtaking and the dessert was warm and delicious. I do wish restaurants would just increase the price of the food instead of adding on a 4 % “kitchen fee” but this is a beautiful setting where we really enjoyed our meal.

My husband and I went to The Plantation House to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The view is spectacular so we made sure we were for the sunset.
We started with cocktails. I hade the Nine-tini and my husband ordered the Pain in the Coconut. We both enjoyed our selections and I ordered a second cocktail to share with our dessert.
We ordered the lobster ravioli which came with a tasty puree and bits of lobster on top. 5 or 6 ravioli was more than enough to share.
My husband ordered the braised short ribs which he cut with his fork!! It was melt in you mouth tender and served over mashed potatoes and grilled carrots. The portion was sizable and he brought home a doggie bag.
I ordered the lamb chops with grilled asparagus. Again, lamp was cooked to perfection. There was enough of the coffee demiglaze which I used for the the fingerling potatoes! So delicious and I too brought home leftovers 😋
For dessert, our server Calvin recommended the pineapple upside-down cake. It was served warm with vanilla ice-cream and topped with toasted coconut . It was also complimentary...to celebrate our special occasion along with a card signed by the staff!
There was a solo vocalist playing the ukulele which added to the elegant atmosphere. We would highly recommend The Plantation House for any occasion ❣️🫶❣️

This is a beautiful setting with amazing views, the lush green golf course and long rows of star pines with the ocean and island backdrop make it a spectacular, especially at Sunset. Our visit this time was very so so overall. We made reservation some time ago, were quite early, had drinks in bar, my champagne was generous but FLAT, and when they seated us I did not really know the layout yet. After being there a while I realized we were really on the backside and they did have plenty of tables up closer to sunset side, that they seated others in after us. The Bread and Oil or Butter was excellent. Calimari appetizer was also pretty good. I had Lamb, with Asparagus and Fingerling Potatoes and it was not very good really. Lamb was a little rare, which would be fine, but it was too salty and otherwise had no real flavor. The potatoes also had no flavor and the asparagus were quite al Dante. My son had a Ribeye and I also thought it wa heavy on salt and again otherwise lacking great flavor. My wifes chicken and noodles OK. Our DIL's fish was good.
