Andrea was just the sweetest and most helpful waitress we’ve ever had. The food was incredible!

Best dinner in Hawaii! Fantastic food and wine. Our waiter, Jed, made the whole night, great stories of everything from the food, to Hawaii’s solar panels to the head chef’s background. A very memorable evening!

We dined at Spago last night expecting a world-class experience to match the premium price and reputation, but instead faced an absolute comedy of errors and a shocking lack of management oversight. The issues began immediately when we were seated directly in the blinding sun due to a broken window shade. It took two separate complaints just to get our table moved. Looking up, we noticed cobwebs and spiders on the ceiling - completely unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber. From there, the service slowed to a crawl: The Wine Cellar Lockout: We ordered a bottle of wine, only to be told later that they couldn't retrieve it because "nobody had access to the cellar." Complete Neglect: Our water and wine glasses were left completely empty several timwa throughout the evening. We were never asked if we wanted another drink. 1.5-Hour Food Wait: After waiting over an hour and a half for our food, someone in our party literally had to get up and find our waitress to check on our order. She was argumentative and said it had only been 22 minutes. When the food finally came, it was decent but portions were small. When the manager finally came over, his attitude was entirely dismissive. He could not have cared less, offering only a hollow promise that he would "talk to the kitchen." While our waitress eventually offered to buy us dessert to make up for the disaster, the evening was already ruined. We declined and left. Spago is trading entirely on its name at this point. Between the neglected atmosphere, glacial service, and a completely indifferent management team, it is absolutely not worth the hype or the money. Save your time and dollars for a resort restaurant that actually values its guests.

Wanted to leave a review because the current rating isn’t representative of the quality of the experience here! We celebrated our anniversary here tonight; Peter and his team did such a truly wonderful job of making it a memorable night. The sunset view is obviously unbeatable, but the quality of the experience was really top notch. From offering us a pair of sunglasses while the sun was still out to a delicious secret menu dessert option that I happened to notice being served elsewhere… I couldn’t have asked for a better night and this restaurant absolutely deserves a higher rating than the one they currently have. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend this place to a friend and want to thank Peter and his team once again for the wonderful experience they provided!

Spago Maui is a beautiful restaurant in a stunning setting, with a warm atmosphere, attentive staff, and excellent service. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel welcome and well taken care of. That said, the food did not quite live up to our expectations. It was certainly good, but not great, especially considering the Wolfgang Puck name. We have dined at several Wolfgang Puck restaurants over the years, and one thing we have always appreciated is how even the simplest dishes tend to be elevated and surprisingly memorable. At Spago Maui, we were expecting that same level of creativity and execution, but the dishes felt more ordinary than exceptional. Nothing was disappointing, but nothing really stood out either. In the end, that also made the experience feel overpriced for what it was. Food was sadly not living up to the name! Overall, it is a lovely restaurant with great service and a beautiful location. We enjoyed our evening, but the culinary experience did not quite match the high standards we have come to associate with the Wolfgang Puck brand.
