  I LOVED IT! Some may feel it's a bit over-the-top, or just meh, (set dinner menu) but I thought it was one of the best overall meals I've ever had .. .. For those with early seatings, you are treated to the BEST SHOW ON EARTH with a sunset off the pacific coast! Started off with their stocked NUI PLATTER that was filled with whatever the chef wanted to that day = Oysters, Lobster Tails, Crab Legs and monster Shrimp! Appetizer of AHI was like butter and the SQUASH SOUP was lovely .. . Main course of WAGYU FILET was perfect for me > Medium Rare and with just a light sear .. .. Most want just the 'butter' but I love a light sear on my steaks! And, a nice Kona Coffee Mouse to cap it all off .. ... Our splendid server SCOTT knew everything about everything and even knew all about the area we both spent our summers in (Aina Haina) .. .. He thrilled the table with an off-menu wine that a visiting guest left multiple cases of and the table felt ot was a true treat .. ..

  Amazing location with beautiful sunset views and service to match. Too bad the food couldn’t keep up with the rest of the experience. :( We are staying at Aulani and absolutely love the resort. Unfortunately, though, we haven’t been particularly impressed with the food or drinks here. I’m a bit of a foodie and mixologist myself, and for my time and money, I think I’m better off at Mina’s or Roy’s, both right next door. I’m perfectly happy with the Disney offerings for snacks and lunch, but after tonight’s dinner, I’ll be taking my dinners elsewhere. Here’s the breakdown of tonight’s four-course dinner: **1. Kabocha Squash Soup ⭐⭐⭐⭐ / Smoked Salmon Pâté ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐** Both were very good, but the smoked salmon was absolutely amazing. Thankfully, it wasn’t a traditional pâté, and it was easily the standout dish of the evening. Highly recommended! **2. Pork Belly ⭐⭐⭐ / Ahi ⭐⭐** I preferred the pork belly, but unfortunately, it was almost entirely fat with very little actual meat. I’ve had much better. The ahi was just okay. **3. Lobster Tail ⭐⭐⭐ / “Paniolo” Wagyu Filet ⭐⭐⭐** The lobster tail was a bit heavy and came in some sort of cream sauce, which was surprising and not really to my liking. The wagyu filet was better, but still far from spectacular. **4. Kona Coffee Mousse ⭐⭐ / Honey Matcha Panna Cotta ⭐** Unfortunately, the desserts were the low point of the meal. I was genuinely surprised by how disappointing both were. Overall, the setting and service were excellent, but unfortunately the food simply didn’t live up to them. Given the number of excellent dining options nearby, I wouldn’t choose to return here for dinner.

  We spent 6 days at the Aulani resort and chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Originally it was a no once I heard only prix fixe menu was available for dinner, but after reading the options, we went for it. Menu did not disappoint! We upgraded our starter and added the seafood tower which was perfect! It had the best oysters! The ceviche was not a traditional ceviche, a bit on the sweeter side. I am still craving the carpaccio I had as a starter!!! I have never tasted anything like it before. It literally melts in your mouth. The squash soup was super creamy and pairs well with the different kinds of sourdough bread you get with your meal. The drink list is ongoing. The pork belly was cooked perfectly and was juicy and tender. We also tried the catch of the day and poke..like true Hawaiian style, they did not disappoint. I cannot say enough about all the dishes. Premium ingredients. Wait staff was well informed and made great suggestions. The table we were seated at was facing the ocean. Everything was perfect!!

  We had such a wonderful experience at Ama‘Ama! The food was delicious and the service was incredible. My daughter can be a little picky, but she loved her dinner and ate every bite! What really made our experience special was how thoughtful the staff was. Before dinner, my daughter accidentally lost her beloved baby Pua, and she was so upset. She told the staff about it, and the manager surprised her with a brand-new baby Pua! I honestly couldn’t believe they did that for her. Such a thoughtful gesture and a beautiful example of the true aloha spirit. We will never forget how special they made her feel! 🌺

  AMA‘AMA is a beautifully presented dining experience, with clear thought and care put into the composition of every dish. The seafood was consistently fresh and high quality, and the execution was polished throughout. For our taste, however, many dishes leaned heavily on sauces to drive the flavor. While everything was good, we found the overall flavor profiles less complex and nuanced than the presentation suggested, at times masking rather than highlighting the quality of the seafood. A refined and enjoyable meal with impressive presentation and fresh ingredients, but a bit more restraint and depth would have elevated the experience further.
