- CPCynthia PettyjohnSep 21, 20264.0For my husband’s birthday we dined at Ulu. We started at the bar and enjoyed a cocktail before dinner. The drinks were superb and the atmosphere was is exquisite. Our table for dinner was fantastic. We started with the seared salmon maki, which was delicious, but things went downhill quickly. I had the Hawaiian sea bass which was overcooked and dry. My husband ordered the Kampachi and it was mediocre. It was extremely disappointing to us to dine in such an exceptional setting with food not up to par. The service is excellent and our waiter offered to return my meal, but that shouldn’t happen in a restaurant of this caliber.
