Absolutely terrible experience. This was hands down one of the worst restaurant meals I’ve had, and certainly the worst meal of our Hawaii vacation.
There were six people in our party, and not a single person enjoyed their meal. Every dish that came to the table was bland, poorly prepared, and completely underwhelming. We all love Italian food, so it’s not as if we don’t know what good Italian cuisine should taste like. The food was simply awful.
The service was just as bad as the food. Our server was inattentive, slow, and seemed completely uninterested in providing a quality dining experience. For a restaurant charging these prices, the level of service was unacceptable.
The cocktails were equally disappointing. They were expensive but tasted like they contained little to no alcohol. It felt like we were paying luxury resort prices for watered-down drinks and cafeteria-quality food.
What is most shocking is the price. Spending that kind of money for six people and receiving food and service of this quality is honestly insulting. We expected a memorable dining experience and instead left frustrated, disappointed, and feeling completely ripped off.
There are too many great restaurants on the Big Island to waste your time and money here. Save yourself the disappointment and dine somewhere else.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Beach Tree Restaurant at the Four Seasons Kona.
The service was exceptional from start to finish. We made a special request to the manager for an ocean-view table, and they graciously accommodated us, which made the evening even more memorable.
The food was absolutely outstanding. The pizza, pasta, fish of the day, chicken, and salad were all exceptionally delicious and beautifully prepared. Every dish exceeded our expectations.
The only area for improvement would be the timing from the kitchen. For some reason, the food took longer than expected compared to normal restaurant service standards. However, the quality of the meal and the outstanding hospitality more than made up for the delay.
Overall, it was a spectacular experience, and I highly recommend Beach Tree to anyone visiting Kona. We will definitely be back!

Sadly we were there during the main restaurant construction but they still delivered a great meal. Staff was great and the food was awesome. Wine list is wonderful and do not skip the dessert. The mushroom and truffle pasta was by far the highlight, cannot recommend that enough.

We had a fantastic dinner, with outstanding service by Precious! She was a delight to talk with and paid very close attention to us throughout the evening. The octopus for an appetizer was so very delicious and our meals of Sea Bass and pasta with truffles and mushrooms were amazing! The atmosphere is beautiful with an ocean view and live music in the background. A bit on the pricy side, but if looking to splurge, a wonderful place for dinner!
