My wife and I have been doing our biweekly shopping at this store, but after our experience today, we will no longer be shopping here. This is the second time we have experienced what we believe to be racial profiling by an African American security guard, who followed us around the store while we were shopping. As an interracial couple, we found the experience extremely uncomfortable and unacceptable. Does this store give its security personnel the discretion to single out Black customers or interracial couples in this manner? We would rather spend our money at a store where we can shop without feeling that we are being watched or treated differently because of our race or because we are an interracial couple. After shopping here every other week, it is extremely disappointing to have reached this point. Update: They will not address any racial profiling concerns. I called the store and asked to speak with the store manager about my experience. Another staff member told me that the manager would call me back, but I never received a call. I also spoke with someone from customer service, who took my name and phone number and assured me that the store manager would contact me. Despite both assurances, I still have not received a call.
