  our server was parker. he was very friendly and helpful. got the teriyaki chicken with pineapple. it was really good as well as the smash burger. we added avacado n bacon.

  I had a smash burger with fries. It was the worst burger I have ever had. The bun was real stale, it came with 2 of the tiniest half slices of tomatoes and on little piece of lettuce. It was dry and no seasoning whatsoever. Oh and when the plate came out I was wondering where the rest of my fries were. There were 13 fries, oh I counted them . Couldn't believe it.

  Christina took care of us and she recommended the prime rib and baby back ribs. Excellent choice. They both was delicious and Christina was the best. We’ll definitely be back. We will also recommend here to my friends

  I am writing to express my disappointment following a recent series of visits to this restaurant while staying at the local hotel. While our first visit with a group of seven was pleasant, our subsequent experiences were very poor. On our second attempt, we arrived at 8:48 PM and were told the kitchen had stopped taking orders at 8:45 PM. While we understood the policy and dined elsewhere, our final visit a few nights later was truly unacceptable. We were seated at 8:00 PM but were not able to place our orders until 8:30 PM. Our food finally arrived at 8:50 PM. I ordered the vegetables and rice with added grilled chicken, which cost $27 plus an additional $10 for the protein. Given the price, I expected a substantial meal. Instead, I received a single spoonful of dry rice, a meager portion of vegetables, and a few crumbles of overcooked chicken. When I showed the plate to our server, Dave, he offered to ask the kitchen for more rice. However, he returned a minute later to inform us that the kitchen was now closed and could not provide any more food. Despite the poor quality and the fact that I had to share my wife's meal because mine was insufficient, I was charged the full price plus a mandatory 20% gratuity for our group. It is disappointing that your establishment would charge full price for a meal that was clearly lacking, especially when your staff acknowledged the issue but refused to rectify it due to the time. Several others in my group were also dissatisfied with their meals and the service provided. Due to this experience, I will not be returning and wanted to bring these issues to your attention.

  Menehune Grille absolutely saved my Sunday brunch experience. After being completely ignored at Chart House Waikīkī for almost 20 minutes despite having a reservation, I finally walked out frustrated and disappointed. I stopped at Harbor Pub for a quick drink to calm down and then remembered Menehune Grille inside the Ilikai. And WOW am I glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the service was top tier. And I mean TOP TIER. Friendly, attentive, welcoming, professional… everything Chart House was not today. The cocktail service and overall cocktail program were fantastic. My drink was beautiful, strong without being overpowering and exactly the island brunch vibe I needed after the way my morning started. For food, I ordered the American breakfast but swapped the potatoes for steamed rice because honestly… when in Hawaiʻi 🌺 Everything was delicious, comforting and reasonably priced for Waikīkī. Nothing felt overly tourist-trappy or inflated. What really stood out though was how genuinely warm and attentive the staff was throughout the entire meal. It completely turned my day around. This will absolutely become my regular Sunday brunch spot whenever I’m in the mood for brunch. Five out of five stars easily. And honestly? Skip Chart House. I don’t know what’s going on over there lately but Menehune Grille is where the hospitality actually is.
