  Great food. Don't have the smothered pork chop anymore but the smothered chicken will do. There is a wait tho, but always delicious.

  The food was amazing, as always! Chicken was superb and the hot links were fire. Greens and red beans/rice are so satisfying. Delicious!

  Perfectly fried catfish, collard greens that were just the right amount of seasoning, jambalaya that hits hard. Service is a bit slow by chain standards because they make the food when you order it. So good we went back with a friend the next day.

  Everything was amazing. I tell you it sure feels good to go to a black owned restaurant with great service, good food and drinks and being affordable. Thank y'all so much for the experience. When I come back and visit, I will be sure to come back here. Thanks a bunch

  I honestly can’t believe this place is being called soul food. This had nothing to do with “not using a lot of seasoning” the food literally had zero flavor!!! I ordered the veggie plate, and I don’t understand how you mess up greens, yams, and rice & beans… but everything was just bad. It tasted so off I had to spit it out. I even offered it to a family member and they didn’t want it either. Fast forward a week later & the food is still sitting in my fridge untouched. That says everything. Even the cornbread were dry and tasted old. I don’t believe these 5-star reviews are genuine , it honestly feels like people are being incentivized to leave them. This was not authentic soul food at all. Just really disappointing.
